Medical Exam confusion - please advise

So, my husband and I have received AOR and SA back in March. .

We hadn't done my medicals up front, as we were told they could be requested after SA

When we received our SA the letter stated that there weren't medicals and that they needed to be done as soon as possible.

We called the place where we live that does the medical exams for immigration purposes and they told us that CIC has to send us another request with paperwork because our application is already in process. . . so now I'm confused, I thought in the SA letter it was requested. This doctor is saying though that a bunch of paperwork has to be filled out from CIC when they request them. . . I'm so confused! ???

Can anyone advise on this? Should I call CIC and see what's up with the response we got from the Doctors office? Has anyone else had a similar experience? Thanks!

just curious was you applying outland or inland .All outland application requires medicals to be done upfront then sent with you application .If you are applying inland i was told that you just have to give your panel physician you client id number. They are doing everything on computers now Cic is not sending out papers . Some of the panel physicians are not quite up to date with this procedure .

We are applying Outland, a lot of people said with their outland application they waited to send it in - CIC noted in our Sponsorship Approval letter that they needed the medical exam sent in because it wasn't supplied and the sooner we send it in the better to avoid delays . . . they just said we needed to forward the results to them. . . but that completely contradicts what we were told by the Drs. Office *scratches head*

This procedure is quite new as i said .We had to tell both Dr's what to do .My husband had his done here in Canada and my step son done in the U.k . Make an appointment ,check to see if you have to take a passport photo with you and make sure you have an xray ,blood test and medical .

All 3 must be completed .The Dr will not be able to do all 3 so they will send you to different places.Sometimes all in the same building.Tell the Dr you are doing an upfront medical .They will send the results to Cic and they will match up the bar codes with your application .

Then send in your receipt and it will show a bar code on it .May be some one else can comment but thats what i would do .

Well I can't guarantee that I did the right thing, but I did my medicals after I submitted my application too. Although I went before I had my sponsorship approval - I got my sponsorship approval a couple weeks later with the note about the medical. I just went in and said "Hi, we've already submitted our application, and now we want to do our medical. We have no info from CIC" and they just said "Ok!" and then gave us the e-medical sheet that we sent in.

Ask them for the NEW forms. A) this will throw them and will make them more accountable and B ) There are new forms, as mentioned, called e-medicals. If this doctor doesn't know what it is, tell them to contact CIC as this was updated about a year or two ago. Or, if you can, go somewhere else.

This helped me a lot.
I found our doctor and admin staff were clueless.
I was quite disappointed as they are representing CIC in some capacity, in my opinion.

Pardon my ignorance, I'm still confused though. I haven't received any email with customized forms from CIC (Checked my spam folder, husbands email, and his spam)
Is this a CIC oversight? Should I call them and inquire about what to do??

call another panel physician . My step son had to set up the computer for the DR in the U.K we had to explain the whole procedure to her. Explaining what the new forms were on line . e medical

To be honest I would see if you can go to another doctor's office on the CIC panel physician list. The one I went to didn't request any paperwork, and just gave us an e-medical form when we completed the medical. That was what we sent in, and it has the barcode on it. You do not need to bring any paperwork to the office.
