Test & oath this morning @ Montréal.

Proud to be canadian ! :)

Why is it that I have not received any sort of communication from CIC ever since July 11, 2014?
Anyone has similar timeline as mine?

Application received: May 7, 2014.

Acknowledgment letter: May 7, 2014.

We started processing your application on July 11, 2014.

Called CIC a few times, they simply said I have to wait. I don't understand what I have to wait for while a lot of you who sent the applications later than me have become a citizen already.

It depends upon case to case. I understand your frustration. But each case is unique as far as CIC is concerned.

I am also in the same boat. You can see my timeline. When i last called them, they told me all the Security checks are done and my application is at my local office.

Till then - there is no communication regarding test.... Waiting waiting waiting.....

Oath letter dated January 21st, 2015
Oath ceremony FEB 3rd

eCAS has not yet reflected my oath date.

now to reveal the blackbook :)
Previous to this timeline i had another time line and it went like this:

Applied MAY 2009
In process Jan 2010
Test on march 2010
RQ on march 2012
-> REJECTED "unfairly" on OCT 2013!(4.5 years waiting) => reason of rejection, CBSA 'missed' a stamp on may 2005 (despite showing travel history from foreign countries, my T4, my NOA 2005, and an ACCIDENT report backed with insurance claims, that i surely was in Canada MAY 2005 onwards. judge had a trouble to by pass the CBSA report, and rejected my application and asked me to re-apply "and assured me i will be RQ'ed once again"

I decided not to fight it, per lawyer advise, and re-apply again as it will not only be costly, but it will take a long time. lawyer suggested to reapply and i did.

I re-applied with my timeline above and it went smooth and no RQ because I NEVER LEFT THE COUNTRY and WORKED through out. i guess they finally saw that on the "new time period"

after 9 years and 10 months, I am finally Canadian!

If I got my citizenship you surely will. Good luck guys

Finally!!! I have received my test invite for Feb 27.

Good luck to everyone!

I did my test today and got the oath letter immediately afterwards.

Both my wife and I were done with the interview in 5 minutes. The officer casually glanced through our passport stamps. Guess there was not much concern on our application, we had full 4 years of basic residence with only about 100 days of absence.

Timeline:

Applied on 12 May 2014
Fingerprints: 1st week of Dec 2014.
Test: 06 Feb 2015
Oath: 26 Feb 2015
Office: Scarborough.

Finally got my Notice to Appear - Write Citizenship Test and Verification of Identity/Docs.

Test date is 05-Mar-2015 for me and my wife. :D :D :D :D :D

Also got a blue paper with an "Important Test Notice", nothing extraordinary in it.

der doppelgänger

Congrats, der doppleganger.

Good news in the mail today guys. My test has been rescheduled to Feb 26th (Ottawa office).

Congrats hobbes!

Did your wife and you have the interview at the same time or they call you separately for the interview?
