Appears our request will be rejected, cause I write I have a job while I studied (wich is the reality).

So, just have to wait and send it again... Months lost... :(

Students can study and work, as long as they only work 20 hours maximum a week during regular semesters. Why do you think they will reject your application for that?

In fact I had a full time job, while I studied part-time.

In another forum, I just saw a man with a reject of his file cause he wrote, for a same period, he worked and he studied. So I'm pessimistic :(

Hmm... are you sure that is the reason for rejection? I just don't see how a permanent resident working and studying at the same time is a problem.
If you broke down the working and studying periods clearly so it's easy to understand, why will it be a problem?

Well, I really, really hope you right !!! :)

I'm going to ask for details.

I believe I'm right. A permanent resident has a right to live, work and study anywhere in Canada. Working and studying at the same time shouldn't be a problem.

Ask that person the real reason for refusal as stated in the letter.

Maybe it is a good idea to add your information to the following spreadsheet to have some idea how the whole process is running:

Two possibilities :

1- CIC made a stupid mistake, it happens
2- The applicant misunderstood the reason why his file was rejected

Thanks all, you're probably right.

Hi,

As I know, in a few weeks, you can see online if your application is in process on CIC website - I can't post link actually but I'm sure you can find it by yourself- ("Ecas" in the google spreadsheet)
In 2 months (of course it can be 1, or 3......), you can expect to receive a formal paper from CIC, which confirms the receipt of your application, and the doc you have to learn for the exam.

bsz gave you the link for the google speadsheet which can permit you to compare time between each step.

Thanks. I'm beyond frustrated right now... my package is still showing "in transit" and it is at the sorting facility in Sydney. It's not even showing "out for delivery" so I can even get some hope. I called canada post in Sydney today, they put a priority on the ticket item for it to be resolved.

That was my 4th call since last week. I have filed a complaint with the Ombudsman... aghhh.

I guess your package has been delivered. Sometimes the tracking status update fails or has delays.

Well, the tracking has not been updated even as I write. They told me sometimes when they deliver stuff to CIC, they don't get a signature because of how their process is. So after numerous calls and filing a complaint with the Ombudsman, someone at Canada Post sent me an email saying that CIC confirmed the package was delivered May 7th.

By the time they sent me that email, I had already sent a new package to CIC along with an explanation. I told them about my troubles above, and that they may receive two packages from me. I asked them to return one to me and included a FedEX waybill.

The call centre agent told me to wait until July and that I will know for sure then if they received the first package.

Hello to all, I will apply for Canadian citizenship in couple of month(if Bill C-24 didn't pass till that time) my question is
* my daughter went with my wife and was out of Canada for 3 months can I include my daughter(age 5) in my application once my 1095 days in Canada complete?
* if I can include my daughter in my application I will only pay fee for one application(400 CAN) or I have to pay 800 CAN for 2 people?
* my daughter is in KG , do I still need some kind of school record for her?
* do I need fill citizenship application for minor as well (form CIT 0003) or CIT 0002 is enough?

thanks for reading plz reply
