Did you submit a new application?rejected visa on 9 June for my mother in law approved today
Hi.. background checks do take time as they are done with the help of external agencies, so there is no definitive time frame for this. Visas are issued on your circumstances so the dates are not relevant. Hope it helps.Date: Applied on May 09, 2018
Application Type: TRV
Location: India –
Submission: Paper
Invitation Letter: to attend their son’s convocation ceremony dated June 19, 2018 along with to satay with his daughter for three (3) weeks.
Current Status: Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Questions:
1. How long does it take to complete the background check?
2. Considering they missed the convocation ceremony, is there any chance to get the refusal?
I would appreciate if someone can shed some light.
Thanks,
So you applied again and she got trv? congratulationsrejected visa on 9 June for my mother in law approved today

Or you had requested for a review?
thanks...same application re opened. no new application made.So you applied again and she got trv? congratulations
I guess as much. It's the review that changed the decision. She is lucky because a request for a review is not normally consideredsame application, no re-submission. Requested for review.
not just review, I provided additional document which helped CIC to reconsider.I guess as much. It's the review that changed the decision. She is lucky because a request for a review is not normally considered
Congrats. This is good news
Technically, she should have reapplied i.e. new application with new, additional documents. So, it is not a review as such. Anyways. All is well that ends wellnot just review, I provided additional document which helped CIC to reconsider.
