No problem. You can link both but the Principal Applicant (PA) will have more updates than the sponsor so I would recommend linking PA or both but not just Sponsor.

Did you try adding a sponsor to the number of applicants? For example, if there is only one applicant, add "2" instead of 1. Somehow, that works for me and other people. Hope this helps!
Don’t think any of the May applicants will be getting ecopr soon cause applicants from April still waiting the most May applicants will get it p1 and p2 then we wait again for a month r two for the ecopr and card to be send off just saying base on the pattern and time frame of some applicants in April and previous months….
On the Contrary a lot of May Applicants from May 1-15 have even gotten there PR cards.
There is no rhyme and reason as to how much more time it will take for either P1/P2 or eCOPR. I have always felt that departmental policies are not really adhered to especially in IRCC. Applicant files are never first come first serve. Each officer handles files differently. Some prefer to move each file they pick to as close to completion as possible, others just simply process all applications they have for just one step at a time. On top of that, it seems there are a lot of very frequent departmental reassignments of officers, so any new officer who would be given files will review it from the very beginning and that takes time.
Can you cite some examples? As far as I have read on this forum many May applicants are still waiting on P1/P2
Not sure what examples you would like me to cite? Its just based on what I have been seeing in the May-June-July whatsapp group.
someone who applied May 19 - had P1 And P2 on Feb 10 and got ECOPR today.. there are a bunch of others with similar timelines.
Yes that what am seeing also myself so if may applicants are getting pr cards now that’s good cause am seeing ppl in April are still waiting on ecopr on the forum…I submitted 20 May and got p2 feb 6 and still waiting…

I don't think they're doing sponsorships right now. Their focus seems to be on outland cases, with processing times nearly tripled compared to last year. It appears they almost halted processing after announcing the delays. For those of us from May, June, and July (before the announcement), it will likely take at least a year to process our cases. Early May cases were fortunate to be completed just before the extension.
They are not doing the outland application. we all are stuck. no news since long.
