This is such a pain. On mine it still says "we will let you know once we begin your eligibility". So they haven't even started the eligibility step and others are getting approval.
I agree with you. I see on other chats or forums that people who are neither citizens nor PRs are getting faster progress. I submitted a couple of web forms asking for an update, and yet nothing. They haven’t even sent me the officer’s notes that I requested 1.5 months ago.

There is a huge push by the Trudeau administration to normalize as many people as possible who have no status or expiring status. IRCC resources have probably been redirected there. The reason? Lifetime Liberal votes. His father did the same thing. The country was a total disaster after that for 15 years until the conservatives turned it around. The Liberals know they have no chance of winning the next election but they are gearing up for making Mark Carney the next leader and ensuring more votes in swing ridings (e.g. 905).

When did you apply? I see people in December and November still waiting . So it’s a normal time frame .. it’s 11 months I think for the whole process or 13 months ( I seen on a next post). It will come through, keep fingers cross and pray. It may be long but eventually it will come to an end
