Oh I heard from my friends that they waited 5 months these days for OPW.. Hope you hear good news soon!
The wait times are getting out of hand. 13 months for an inland sponsorship?

In our case we have no need for a work permit. The issue is the elective healthcare.

It is annoying to have to drive across the border for anything which isn't covered by the travel insurance (which is a lot); and there is no such thing as fully private health insurance available in Canada for visitors, I don't even think it exists for citizens. The insurance companies always want OHIP to cover the biggest portion first.

That is so true. The employer won't sign on the spouse (PA) because the government won't issue a health card to a visitor.

In my case my wife received a letter saying she meets the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence
as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. As a sponsor I have not received any letter
