Got it. Any idea on what is the current timeline for ICES request to be completed by CBSA? How can I find more details about this? ATIP Request to CBSA?
There is not a lot of data for ICES but they usually take 3-6 months for these cases. You can request ATIP from CBSA and sometimes you get insights into the data but usually there is not a lot of info.

@hssrp, can you please help me understand GCMS notes: On page 3 it says that Grant Awaiting Group Members. What does it mean? We are group of 5 , my kids are under 18 and my husband has also completed all steps , waiting for OATH. Secondly it says Application Assignment Due date 2025/06/30. Does it mean that they will process before that?
Other than that I don't see anything on notes that caught my attention. Is there anything anywhere on notes that indicates Oath?
Thanks,

It means yours is completed but someone on your family group application is still under review (or probably additional verification/scrutiny). What does it say on your husband's GCMS notes? If his notes also says Awaiting group members, then I would suggest applying notes for your kids so see if you see anything on their notes. If your husband's notes is anything else, then probably his application is the one holding up your group.

well, something is not right. its not like " oh we forgot to schedule this application and lets do it now" . there should be something that may cause hold off of your application to be scheduled.

It is just the matter of luck not for all but for many. My GCMS notes says everything is clear, LPP done. If you know something, please feel free to highlight the reasons or a way to dig more into that why oaths have been delayed for many.

Hello Everyone,

A neighbor of mine, who applied for citizenship, received an email yesterday with instructions on how to download their e-certificate. Interestingly, they have yet to receive an invitation for the Oath Ceremony. Has anyone else experienced this?

UCI: XXXXXXX
Application No.: XXXXXXXXXXX

Dear XXXXXXXXXXX,

Please find the instructions to download your electronic Canadian Citizenship Certificate (e-Certificate) in the attached document.

Sincerely,
Citizenship Program

The attachment in the email says:

Your Citizenship Ceremony
• At your citizenship ceremony, you will be instructed to submit your Oath or Affirmation of Citizenship with an electronic signature, or a printed and signed PDF attachment.
• Once this information is received, your e-Certificate will be available for download within 2 to 5 business days.

Any insight will be appreciated.

Cheers!

It is pretty normal and many applicants receive the e-certificate download instruction email a few days before oath status being updated in the tracker. This means their application is approved and the oath scheduling team is working on scheduling the virtual oath for them. The tracker will be updated in a day or two with the exact oath date and the oath invite email will be sent shortly after that (most offices send the oath invite email closer to the ceremony). The email will indicate the time on the virtual oath and the link to join.

They can be ready and create the portal login right now, based on the instructions email they received. They would be able to download the certificate AFTER they complete the oath and then send the oath affirmation form.
