got 3 GU since Friday in both tracker and gc key and Bg changed to we are processing…

hoping for more movement in the upcoming days/weeks

Hi all,

got in touch with Ircc this morning:
PVO - Ottawa
SVO- CIO
Eligibility - recommended passed
Criminality- passed
Info Sharing - passed
Security - not started

Anyone have any idea how long this could take to get security cleared? I know I’m just waiting on an officer to pass eligibility but not sure if security can get cleared same time as eligibility.

Also, what are the chances of getting rejected at this point ? I don’t want to get my hopes up for anything.

depends on too many variables. mine took three weeks I guess but I didn't have a file that could cause a security concern.

Security clearance time line will now depend on two things:
1. if there's an available resource who will finish it in time
2. whether you'll be sent to comprehensive security check

Some applications have to wait for 1-3 months in this stage if there's no one available to work on their application.

About your chances of getting rejected - unless sometime comes up in security, there are no chances of rejection.

No recently updates- Background still in progress and Eligibility not started.

Same for me as well.

Last update was on June 19 when they extended my old medicals.

Thanks so much for the clarification! I really hope I don’t get sent there. I don’t have any weird travel history or red flag countries in my history nor criminal background so *cross fingers* everything goes smoothly.
Ok great! At least I can breathe a sigh of relief for the rejection part.

Got my COPR and Visa stamped today.
I could see the COPR details in my suivi tracker since 12th July. Received RFV/PPR on 11th July.
Submitted passports on 14th. Counterfoil generated 25th July. Received passports back today. So happy to see the COPRs.
Finally, it’s done!
can’t wait to move soon (given the market conditions I am praying that I get a decent job).

Congrats to all who've been approved! My FSW-O application hasn't moved forward since biometrics were given on 2 June. In the tracker, my background has been in progress since then and eligibility is still not started. My AOR is 8 May and my PVO is Montreal. Anything to worry about at this point or is this just luck of the draw? I'm not obsessing over it yet, just checking in to see if this is expected. I requested GCMS notes on 8 July but haven't heard back on those yet. Thanks

Following up on my post: I received my GCMS notes today (took only 2 weeks, requested through ATIP) and they indicate that there's been no movement since biometrics cleared. Security still says "not started." I did have an ADR for additional family information, which was acknowledged in the notes, and the officer indicated "Case Parked" after that had been reviewed/approved. No worries yet.. I'll just wait my turn! Thanks all

I applied on 13 July and received them yesterday at 20:30 Ottawa time.

I just did it myself through ATIP. No extra expense that way!
