My guess is you should receive the invite early next week, lets see
My wife received fingerprint request on Friday, so it could be fingerprints request for you as well. Alternatively it could be a test invite too. So keep your fingers crossed.
My wife has also got FP request, it was from Vancouver office. My BG was completed on July 15th and no updates since then.
If we give the FP in the next week for my wife, would that change both of our timelines? Or would we both be getting the test invite together after her BG is complete?
If you applied together as a family then I think your application will probably wait until hers catches up. It isn't certain though. You can get a test invite earlier too. Difficult to say with certainty.
As a family,you will get test invitation together so until her BG completed all stay together on same level.

Something interesting happened.
My wife's profile got BG verification completed on July 21.
Mine got a fingerprint request on July 28 which I did on Aug 2nd, so I was expecting BG to be completed in 3-4 weeks.
But then, today we both got test invites even though my BG verification isn't completed yet.

It is possible that your background check is complete but they haven't updated it.
Sorry I meant to ask where did you receive fingerprint request from? CPC Sydney or Vancouver? did it also updated on tracker as well- fingerprint requested
I have seen cases where background check has been completed in 3 days after fingerprints were sent. So it is definitely possible. But, I agree, it doesn't hurt to be skeptical. One doesn't want to get their hopes too high, especially in citizenship matters.

yeah, my tracker shows 2 steps that need my action:
- Submit your fingerprints (already did on Aug 02)
- Take the citizenship test
