Just curious if anyone else here applied online as well in May, and if anyone would know the approximate waiting time till the test invite for online applications.

Unfortunately its really slow for online folks. For most people it is taking 8-9 months to get a test invite.

Does fingerprints request delay the process a lot? I start to worry now. It's been a month, and I have no updates. I have pretty similar timeline as @messiry , I still don't have background check completed.

I have background check completed since 22nd of June, but only found out a couple of days back when I accessed tracker. I have seen most May applicants who had their background check completed received test invites a month afterwards, sometimes two weeks, not sure why I haven't received the test invite so far

If it helps you feel better, I am Feb 2 applicant with BG completed on April 19th and I still havent received test invites. It varies between offices. Hang tight. It will come when the times right (per IRCC)

Above timeline is mine.
My spouse completed the test on Aug 3, 2022 and it got updated in the system on Aug 5, 2020.
My daughter's application has no updates since June 1, 2022 and everything is In Progress.

Even more weird, there has been a 2nd ghost update. But nothing has changed at all.

So first update was when application entered into portal.

Application for wife and 2 daughters (paper)

Sent: May 30th

AOR:June 15th

Ghost Update 1: July 15th

Ghost Update 2: July 21st

Nothing else changed in profile.

Profile Update Aug 5th: Fingerprints Requested for wife

But she didn't get any email yet. Any idea if the email comes with a lag?

ok, so it turns out that the email may come with a lag. My wife's came with a few hour lag. Apparently it can take up to 3 days for it to show up.

Was it in the new status tracker or the ecas status that you saw the FP request?
