Is online better than paper? My wife, kid and I are eligible. I understand that if i apply as a family, it has to be paper. I have extensive travel history whereas my wife's application should be straight forward. Should i apply online and then file paper for my wife and kid? Or should we all file paper together?

Is it common?

Is the first time ive heard they send an email saying is in progress… that must be a good thing, means they actually checking it and not only automatic in the system

1: Does AOR mean complete application? Look at the snippet below from CIC website (clicking the link since this forum doesn't let me upload images).

2: After receiving AOR, I tried to register my account to check the application status. Website keeps giving me errors that my UCI and application number are incorrect. Do we have to wait sometime after receiving AOR to register?

1. Yes, AOR means right number of forms and documentation are acknowledged. They can still ask for more documents later in the process.
2. Wait for 24 hours after receiving AOR
