I'm getting really frustrated and impatient, but my wait since March 1 is nothing compared to yours!

I thought that it will not last longer than 4 months, but yet, here we are 7 months later. I exhausted all my options - call IRCC, contact MP, e-mail the Mtl office, order the notes - with no luck. I decided to wait, as there is nothing else I can do at this moment. The worst part is that I pass by the Mtl processing center every single day and I can't do anything about my application.

Out of frustration, I also ordered ATIP on May 28 for the first time to hopefully get some kind of clue. Still waiting on those as well.

Have you received your email with the oath invitation on the same day as the status was updated in your account? My status was updated a couple of days ago but I still haven't received the email.

Also, was the oath virtual, on zoom?

got the email details with Zoom link, seat number, etc. 1 week before the actual Oath date

I am may 2021 applicant and my age is over 54 years.
I am asked to be interviewed by the immigration officer virtual.
Does any one know what documents are needed for the interview and kind of questions.

I was invited for interview too and did it a couple of weeks ago. It was an ID check - can we see your PR card, driving licence, UK passport.
It's a random sample of us that do this added step, according to the interviewer.
5 minutes and done.
I've been invited to oath in July now. The interview probably adds a month or so to the application timeline, but nothing to worry about!

Complete the test in December, no news since then. Wondering what takes them so long when 2022 applications seem to be moving just fine.

Yesterday I was working with a girl who applied in 2020, she did the test in January of this year and only last Tuesday she was invited for the oath! Her office is Montreal.
so imagine there are still people from 2020 waiting!

Me and my husband. We completed the test more than a month ago. Still shows as not started and no updates since August.

Hello Everyone,

Final update on my application.
Citizenship Oath ceremony Completed - June 10th, 2022.
Application now closed. A year old struggle finally completed. The next struggle is to get a passport .. Any tips would appreciate for applying in Calgary to get passport quicker?

Me. Test done in the end of Feb, test updated to completed in the system on March 17th and nothing else after.

Lack of transparency. By not communicating what exactly is happening with my file, I can simply think that it is sitting on a shelf somewhere. And then, I sound silly to them when I call to check on the status of my application, when I just simply want to know if someone is actually working on my file. The same message with no real updates is not an update.
