Its seems you logic is correct @Goldenita I have not seen anyone with online application received their AOR yet.
No @funloving - Even to See this link you have to eligible. If in the below link you see "Find out if you can Apply Online" that means you are selected AND Then you click on it to see if you are eligible (which is the link which you shared). Randomly Selected and Eligible are 2 different things - you might be randomly selected BUT not eligible - OR you might be eligible but not randomly selected. Here is the link to see you are eligible or not... Apply for Canadian citizenship online (cic.gc.ca)
Oh no not doubting you, we are all in the same boat, I applied Online as well in May, however am seriously considering sending in a paper application , don’t want to wait for 4 months and then realize they are not processing online applications. IRCC could have easily just said yes you can apply online, but they keep saying by Invite only. Anyway each to their own I guessI applied in May but as i said, i called up CIC before making my decision. You can call them to validate what I am saying.. Do not believe me just because I am saying so
It's OK @Goldenita , we all are under lot of stress especially on how the world has changed with covid.. I completely understand your point of view and believe me even I am 100% tensed, but i believe things would be fine, CIC will not abandon the online applications just like that..Oh no not doubting you, we are all in the same boat, I applied Online as well in May, however am seriously considering sending in a paper application , don’t want to wait for 4 months and then realize they are not processing online applications. Did you see the “FIND OUT IF YOU CAN APPLY “ link? Because I directly applied from https://citapply-citdemande.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/screening. Does this mean I was not Invited or selected.. just trying to clarifyIt's OK @Goldenita , we all are under lot of stress especially on how the world has changed with covid.. But remember, the website FAQs say not to apply twice for same application type. So please take an informed decision so that we do not regret.. I took an informed decision to apply for online, now if that backfires - i can at least say to myself that i took the best possible decision at that point of time..
What do you make of the reply from IRCC
Here you will see that IRCC is mentioning that it’s not possible to apply for citizenship online without a direct invitation at the moment.
Few of my friends applied directly also.. I would say just open the link and refresh it few times, if the Eligibility part come sup that would mean you are selected. Once selected, that page will always come up since it will get stored in your cache in case they track the IPs - which I think they do based on the T&C while creating the profile..Did you see the “FIND OUT IF YOU CAN APPLY “ link? When I read this and their website, its clear that they may not process the online applications if its not by invitation. What do you make of the reply from IRCC
They are very clear about it in their communication and thts why we dont see any AORs for Online applications so far. There may be a couple of cases but we dont know if those people were invited? When I read this and their website, its clear that they may not process the online applications if its not by invitation.
