Yeah, I don't understand why people assume that just because the AOR comes later for online applications, the whole processes will take longer as well. Maybe online applications will be fully done a month or two after getting their AOR. I also don't understand what the rush is, even if an online application does take a month or two longer - it would still be worth it as it's way less of a hassle.one of my close friend who had applied on Paper in Feb 2020 had his interview today. He had applied online for his wife last month in April. I had requested him to ask the interviewer about online applications and how are they being processed. So the interviewer answered him that - Online application AOR would normally take 4-5 months at least. But good news that the interviewer shared is "Online process has now been streamlined".
If you guys have any friends and relatives who has upcoming interviews coming up, please request them to ask questions about online so that we can hear some responses from CIC folks..
tell me if you know other way that takes less processing time, I will try it lolMaybe there's a third way of applying, you should seriously look into it!
The only catch is if something is missing in application, then a delayed AOR is just going to further delay the entire process, isn't it?. At least, with paper based application, an earlier AOR should reduce the overall wait time in worst case of re-submission. Not sure if online application has enough checks to avoid getting into this situation.Yeah, I don't understand why people assume that just because the AOR comes later for online applications, the whole processes will take longer as well. It's really hard to miss something on an online application. There are many automated checks built into the system - e.g. if there are any gaps in your activities, it won't let you submit. Maybe that's why they are prioritizing paper submissions? The only catch is if something is missing in application, then a delayed AOR is just going to further delay the entire process, isn't it?.
