I also read many got AOR1 within 1 or 2 weeks here :) Looks like they have less load due to no Visitors or Students apps ..

Hi all, are outland applications completely on hold? As per the spreadsheet, it looks like only 1 person has got AOR in the whole of March! Not a great sign.. We are applying outland from Ireland and our app was delivered in Sydney May 8th.

Processing delays. COVID has really hampered everything within governments, including immigration processing.

Hi All, does any one have any information regarding OUTLAND vs INLAND application times for MAY because of COVID-19. Does anyone know which one seems to be faster?

Why would it be 2-3 months when Nova Scotia opens up early June?
YES but piles of files since MARCH may take longer time to reach MAY files or later for staff. If goes faster it depends how many guys working there

Oh alright! I thought you meant in general! Yeah I’m a March applicant trying to wait patiently for AOR

Hi,

I posted mine May 1st, and it was delivered May 7th. My wife is in Bangladesh. I have a question. Because of lockdown, she couldn't get the police clearance certificate, or 2 passport photos. We have included a note saying we will send them when they are available. Do you think that will be OK ? Also when will they start accepting TRV applications again ?

cheers

Even in general it took average 2 months and up for 1ST AOR (FEW EXCEPTIONS) in year 2018-19. Only time it can speedup ;- either more staff works there OR they find they are less busy as no more students or visitor's applications , that being said will ONLY affect at the other Visa offices if Sydney is taking ONLY outland sousal. I found this:-

The CPC in Sydney processes:
  • applications for permanent resident cards (new and renewals)
  • citizenship applications (new, renouncing, revoking and resuming)
The centralized intake office in Sydney (CIO-S) receives all applications in the following categories:
  • Federal Skilled Worker
  • Federal Skilled Trades
  • Canadian Experience Class
  • Provincial Nominee Program
  • Start-Up Visa
  • Quebec Investors or Entrepreneurs
  • Quebec Skilled Workers
  • Immigrant Investor Venture Capital Class
  • Federal Self-Employed Persons and Quebec Selected Self-Employed Persons
