This is the first time in a while that anyone has posted that they got an invitation to the oath. I hope many of us follow in your footsteps soon! What is your processing office out of curiosity?

Mississauga

Nearly forgot about you!!! A few more of our cohort have gotten their oath date or have done their oath this year! I hope it wasn't you that jinxed us.....
Haha never!!! I’ve just emailed the scarb office with my sob story so fingers crossed

Even after 8 months of test, they are waiting for a good time to send me oath. So not sure when their good time will come.
There will be another crisis will even come and they will still say there is no good time to review files.
Every other department works normally except cic, the unpredictable dept that has worst processing logic. I cant complain that they dont work because they are issuing oath letters to the people in 2020 and 2021, whoever applied after me. So issue is only with processing logic, not really a capacity issue.

“Due to events in Afghanistan, then COVID, now Ukraine, there is a delay in processing your application. We will get to it once there is world peace and an end to all disease.”

But I haven't received the instructions letter yet.
My status is updated on December 17 and it said that they SENT me the instruction but if I haven't received it by the date of appointment I should call them:

Is it normal ?
Should I wait more or it is better to call them now?
Thanks

Not that early. Usually it'll be sent a few days before ceremony. You still have 11 days.

After months of waiting my wife finally got an update, first the ghost update on march 8th, now today it says that the background verification is complete. So now she has pending prohibitions, physical presence and language.

Should we get excited? Or are we going to wait 10 more months for the next update

The current processing time for citizenship is 12 months. So if we applied in May 2020, we have surpasses that time.
If we fill out the webform they should respond to us right, coz they say to only do that if your application has surpassed the processing time.

Anyone who hasn't had any traction on their file recently submit a webform enquiry?

i have one quick question for all you guys, If any one can help ? my wife just attend Oath ceremony and Citizenship clerk advise her to write her (citizenship clerk) name on the subject line while sending my wife’s Signed Oath form. I don't think so. The "12 months" is pretty meaningless these days according to their site:

"The 12-month processing time is how long it usually took us to process a complete application before COVID-19."

They also say:

Applications received after we meet our yearly limit may have to wait longer to be processed.

See my signature.

Roughly 4 months and I only got the oath invite because I emailed my local office.
I already went through 4 months between test and interview. Now I have to wait for another 4 months?!
