Hi, there! Do you know how long does it take for them to call main applicant for biometric after dependent applicant receives the call for appointment.
Dont wait for a call, if you're the main applicant go along with dependent and give yours. I also did the same. They tracking using the 'E' application number. As long as you both have the same application number which starts with "E" then it should be ok.

Hi everyone, wanted to give info on my status in case it is helpful to anyone :)

PNP Inland, AOR May 5.

Received a call from Service Canada on September 24 and gave biometrics on September 25 in Victoria, BC. I was not exempt as I have never given biometrics before. Biometrics showed as 'completed' in my account on the same day. I asked the representative and she said the collection service had only restarted on September 17, and there are currently over 25,000 PR applicants waiting to give biometrics on Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland (but perhaps this number includes people who are now exempt... not sure). Feel very grateful.

Just called IRCC about my status and the representative said my application looked really good! He was very friendly and helpful - if only all visa officers were as great... Waited about 40mins to be connected. +1 (888) 242-2100

Eligibility: Passed
Criminality: In progress
Security: Not started
Visa office/processing centre: Centralized Intake Office, Sydney, NS

Other info:

BIL received: Jun 26
Medical passed: Sept 1 (seems late but at least it was positive!)

I'm not sure how but I only just read about requesting GCMS notes so I plan to do that next. Any advice on how long it might take for criminality / security to be completed now I've given biometrics would be greatly appreciated!! :)

Update: I received COPR this morning!!! So happy, grateful and relieved. It has been less than 6 months since I applied so I was not expecting it at all. I have read that PNP sometimes leads to faster processing times, but honestly who knows after this shit show of a year for immigration.

Can anyone give me some insight into whether the document that confirms my new status in Canada will be sent via mail or in the online account portal, and how long it might take to arrive? I am between places (moving into new apartment on Nov 1) and need to know which address to give when I update my contact info...

I have included the info I found on the new process for what happens when PR applications are approved now below. Many thanks in advance!

If you got your COPR, but haven’t landed
If we sent you a COPR, but you haven’t been able to go to one of our offices in Canada to validate it, we’ll contact you to tell you what to do. Use the web form if you need to update your contact information.

You should not travel to a port of entry to validate your COPR. This is not considered essential travel and you won’t be able to validate it this way.

Due to COVID-19, we have a new process to confirm permanent resident status. We don’t need a COPR for this new process if you are in Canada.

Permanent resident cards
Once you become a permanent resident, we’ll send you a document to confirm your new status in Canada. We’ll also ask you to provide a photo so we can start the process of issuing your first permanent resident (PR) card. You don’t need to apply for your first PR card.

While you wait for your PR card, you can use this document to prove that you’re a PR in Canada and to apply for government benefits and services that you’re eligible for such as, to apply for your social insurance number so you can work.

It may take longer than usual for us to issue your PR card.

Hi, Need help regarding my situation. May 24th AOR and I am CEC Inland applicant

As per GCMS notes dated 30th-Sept below is the status:
Eligibility : Review Required
Security: Not started
Criminality : In Progress
Medical: Passed
Info sharing: In Progress

My issue is...I am on closed work permit and because of covid my contract is not extending. So my employer is asking to move back to India by this month end. I am expecting to get a COPR next month by seeing the posts in this forum.
Can I resign to my current employer and stay back till I get my PR? or
Should I apply for bridge visa till the time I get a PR?
I have valid closed work permit till 6th-Dec-2020.

If I return back to India by this month end, will my application get rejected as I am not staying in Canada as I was picked under CEC and claimed points with offer letter?

Need some expert guidance @andy108 @legalfalcon

Biometrics submitted today in downtown Toronto, populated in website 15 mins later. AOR May 2nd.

now we wait... either I get COPR or I get a medical PFL and I will know that the officer comment of "medical: Passed" was in error. Medical assessment section still says in progress.

lawyer had mentioned medical PFL (if they do it) is the very last thing they will do as they look for all other reasons to reject first. But she was surprised by the officer note in gcms and said maybe they won't do PFL after all...

good luck to all the other downtowners with earlier AORs still waiting for the call. I know I'm super privileged to have got an early call, feel a little guilty about it to be honest...
