I just received one email from passport.admin for my India PCC, that it was forwarded to local police station in India for verification. Is that how it works? It was applied in Ottawa...Can someone who recently applied/got India PCC comment? I am not sure how long will it take now if they send request to India and wait for response in this lockdown period. Don't know when will I get it in hand.

If you applied for your PCC from a Indian embassy, it is usually done within 3-7 days and there is no police verification required from your address in India.

Hi guys anyone got the same email.update?i guess it could be just an automated email service.I got my AOR on may 14th and also i selected to sent updates to my email in the profile settings of my CIC account.Everything looks good until this but the update says "Your application is in process and we havent get back to you in a while. We usually update the application when it gets closer to estimated time limit. If we need anything we will email you for additional documents". But the application number says my expired EE application which i created in jan 2019 and expired in jan 2020.I created new profile in jan 2020 for which i got ITA in april and got new application number which doesnt match with the number on email sent to me.When i checked in my CIC profile no messages to read. But the email is same to same as how we get emails from CIC.Also i thought it could be regarding my BOWP which i applied on may 22nd and the apllication number starts with W whereas the apllication number in the email starts with E which is EE profile. However, does anyone came across same email lately?
Thanks

Again got the same subject email but now with the current Express entry application number. Moreover i guess this could be an autimated service as i still see my UCI for PR application starts with temp code CAN.i heard that if the application process starts it will change to numeric similar to our WP or study permit UCI instead of alphanumeric.

If you still see your UCI starting with CAN, then your application processing has not yet commenced.

All Canadian residents will have to provide a RCMP PCC, however many applicants procure the RCMP PCC and submit it along with their application. This saves them some time in the processing of the application. You may consider this if the RCMP PCC fingerprints collection offices have opened.
Hi, I’ve stayed in Canada since last June as a student. I submitted my application already without any paper from RCMP for my staying period in Canada. Do I need to request one and send thru webform? And if yes, how can I do it. Thank you.

No, you do not have to file any RCMP PCC. IRCC will ask you for it later in the process. Many applicants prefer to submit it along with their application and it just saves some time for them.

I got it today too

a) No, the fee receipt will be added to your file.
b) No
c) Usually the processing starts within 1-3 weeks, but now due to COVID-19, there are no time lines. One indicator is that as soon as your UCI number changes from CANXXXXXX to a 8 or 10 dight number, that means the processing has begun.
After submission of receipt for additional through webform, I got a below reply (seems generic)

We are pleased to confirm the reception of the following document:

  • Additional Payment_RXXXXXXXXX.pdf
We have forwarded it to the responsible office for their consideration.

If further information is needed during the processing of your application, the responsible office may contact you.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

Hi @legalfalcon, will IRCC ask applicants for just biometrics or a complete RCMP PCC?

Biometrics is for everyone, RCMP PCC is only for those who are in Canada, and RCMP PCC is requested later in the processing.

I still don’t understand what’s the difference between rcmp and biometric bcoz I’m both cases fingerprint and photo is taken.

Biometrics is now a requirement that all visitor's / PR applicants / TRVs to Canada have to provide. It merely take your fingerprints and records it to match when you land in Canada.

PCC is the granted to residents of any country listing if they have been charged or convicted of any offence in the country.

For people who were/are in Canada, I think IRCC will obtain PCC directly from RCMP themselves, not through applicants. Correct me if I'm wrong but I haven't seen any one (who was/are in Canada) being requested by IRCC to submit RCMP PCC.
