Hi @legalfalcon just a quick question! My partner applied for his pr through EE and recently received his copr :) He lives in Ontario and he is thinking about moving to Quebec soon, I`ve heard that Quebec has a different immigration system and he did not receive his pr card yet, will this cause an issue? Thank you so much for your help!!

The day you receive your COPR, you are a PR and as a PR, you can move to any part of Canada, including Quebec. This is your constitutional right. However, if you are a PNP, you may have provincial obligations.

The minister cares about stats. He wants to show that IRCC has processed X% of 2021 applications within less than 6 months. He doesn't give a shit to people waiting for years. Those are already lost cases for him. After 6 months timeline it is the same. For his purpose of presenting numbers pre and post six months timeline it doesn't make any difference if you waited for 7 months or 7 centuries.

Hello all, received APR May 2020, Biometrics Feb 2021, no update since then.
I got married in July 2021, moved with my husband. But i am not changing my passport/permanent address, and i see we had never updated our curent address while submitting PR application.
My questions are:
1. Do i need to inform IRCC about change in current address, however, my permanent address is still the same?
2. My passport is expiring in Oct 2022. Shall i wait for COPR or shall i start passport renewal process and inform IRCC?

Please confirm. Thank you.
Regards
Dr. Gurleen Kaur
