Congrats to all who are progressing:)

Did anyone else not submit a police certificate with their application? Instructions for some countries say to wait for a request.

My wife passed her medical, security check and now we are waiting for a police certificate request.

Hi,

Any requests for Biometrics and medical is sent out by cic after the file submission. Usually, anywhere from 3-6 months is when they request these, only if required by them. These two are not required upfront. Follow the checklist for spousal sponsorship, as that applies to all applicants, doesn’t matter what citizenship the spouse holds. Hope this helps.

I’m an American currently being sponsored for PR by my Canadian husband. We applied back in July. I received my open work permit beginning in November. You don’t have to submit biometrics or medical at the time of application. Whatever ircc needs from you along the way they will ask for when it’s in process. He will need to get fingerprinted in order to get a background check from the FBI for the application.

I just received this message, "We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada office in CIC-HAMILTON will contact you to arrange an appointment for the finalization of your permanent resident application." and was wondering if this means the decision has been made??

My application status is still "submitted" so I'm not sure how much longer I'll probably have to wait and was wondering if anyone has any thoughts!
