Finally got med req last night after I sent in a case specific enquiry on last friday. I hope things move a lot faster after we get med done next week.

Hi every one,

today i have received this letter.

"This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Spouse or
Common-Law Partner in Canada Class.
It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent
residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that
a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent
resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks
for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they
are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident
until you and all your family members have met these requirements.
IMPORTANT: Passports for yourself and your family members must be valid for the duration of
your stay in Canada."

I did my medical exams. I also submit a copy of my police certificate from back home. Should I provide my parents', and my siblings' police certificate too?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Don't send anything unless you are asked for. They will ask for anything they need. Anyway, your parents and siblings don't count as "family members" in this PR application context.

From the application guide...
Family Member:
An applicant’s closest relatives, in the context of an application. It is defined as a spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, and their dependent children.

If your spouse is the sponsor in the application, then it doesn't count as a family member. So unless you have children you shouldn't need to submit anything else.

This is good news for you, just standby and wait a bit more :)
What is your timeline?

Hi guys,

I am planning to sponsor my souse to Canada under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class. However, currently he is in India. If I get him to Canada on a visitor visa, how soon can i apply for sponsorship + OWP? Also, do i need to get a return ticket for him since he is on a visitor visa? Would this in any way be misreprestation? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
