I did not send the checklist for OWP as well. The PR application checklist did not indicate that the OWP checklist needs to be included. And the guideline did not say anything about the OWP checklist.

Jiotr, could you please let me know if you included a checklist for the OWP as well?
i can't recall, I believe so.

There are a lot of people that haven’t sent the checklist and I haven’t seen one person say that theirs was returned. From what I understand the documents you included with your PR will be used for your OWP. This is a pilot project so there is still some confusion around it. I applied in June for mine and don’t recall sending the checklist either. I’m keeping optimistic to Be honest.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I was thinking that if I needed to send the checklist alone to IRCC today.

Checklist is just a guide not part of your application im pretty sure.

Maybe they dont return the application if it s missing because it s just a guide, but it is a part of OWP app and it is written right on the top of imm5556 form - “This document checklist is one of the form you need to submit with your application”

I assumed it was approved because I can link my account :( it just says Submitted

As far as I'm aware, being able to link the OWP doesn't automatically mean your OWP has been approved. It just means that all the necessary forms have been submitted and they have started processing it. We still need to await the final decision, just like the PR application.

So it would show up as Approved on GCkey? Just logged in and saw it said "Profile updated" and when I clicked inside and went back it shows "Submitted" again... I think thats a good sign!

Yeah it should say Approved.

Mine also did the same thing 3 days ago, I'm also hoping that's a good sign!
Will keep you updated :)

just a question about medical exams -- do we get an invitation for that over physical mail or through our GCkey account?

Just wanted to share my experience to those who have linked the PR App for a while but cannot link the OWP App.

here is my timeline, just for your guys' reference:
App Received: May 8
PR AOR: July 16
PR Linked: July 17
OWP Linked: Aug 2
OWP Approval: Aug 2
CSQ Request: July 26

I sent an inquiry to IRCC via webform on Aug 1 and mentioned that my wife's AOR was issued on July 16, but we still could not link the OWP application. We would like to check the status on the file since my wife's existing work permit would be expired on Aug 18, so we requested that IRCC took a quick look into the file.

A day after that inquiry got sent, I was able to link the OWP Application in the morning, and the application was approved in the afternoon.

I guess that the webform team can intervent the process by notifying the agent any important info on a specific file.

Hope this experience is helpful.
