Test date: January 23, 2020 (20/20)

Bienvenue au canada hehehehe
Updated. Are you in Montreal or Laval? I am from Laval and DM in Nov and still waiting for the oath

I'm in Brossard. Yesterday we had the ceremony and it went well. Except that you have to be very carefull while saying the oath. You have to say it in english and french even if u speak one language. My wife was almost going to be rejected becaise she didn't say the french oath as she thought she's required to say in either languages.
Interesting... Good to know... My wife isn't that good in English so better she practices the oath from now :)

Congrats :)

Bonjour,

since we just got accepted to become Canadians I will speak to you in the two official langues of Canada. I also speak polish but unfortunately it’s not official language in Canada (I think)
Merci

Je habite à Montréal pas à Laval ehh.

bye bye
congrats !
Au revoir

It seems that we are in the same boat. No news since October 1 in my case. I applied from Toronto/Etobicoke.

That's normal. I expect people like us in Etobicoke to take even longer. My application has been in process since the beginning of September :)

I'll be happy if I became a citizen before summer! good luck.

I guess Etobicoke / Toronto are the slowest ones .. maybe same the same immigration officer has a bunch of our applications and is just being super slow lol
Is it possible that it could take over 12 months ? I think they’ll just rush it once we get to that mark ! Or so I hope

Both Citizenship test centers (Mississauga and Scarborough) are overloaded in and it take 12 months minimum and could take a bit more...

Good to know, I thought max is 12 months. I got my PR in 7 months but this seems to be a longer process. I guess the only option is wait a few more months and if there’s no progress then request the notes

Admin, can you please add me to the spreadsheet,

Applied .... May 28th
Application Received .....May 30th
AOR......August 14th
In Process....Oct 2nd (No update since)
Physical Presence at time of application........1,299 Days

April 29th Applicant from Toronto...still no Test invitation...processing started on Sep 19...I am very scared now :(

Scared why ?
If you got AOR and then your status moved to "In Process" there is nothing pending at your end. I suggest you stay calm. Usually, if your process is taking long, once you get the test invite, the other steps like Oath invitation are faster. Don't be scared, it is just a normal procedure.
also, you can give them a call and ask about the delay. I am sure they will help !

Passed the test today, 19/20. It's still "In process" on ECAS. The officer told me there is some part of the application still in process and might take a few more months but his part of the approval is done!!! Has anybody heard anything like this?

I heard the exact same thing. But got the oath invitation within couple of days

Became a Citizen today!! The long road finally ends here. Good luck to all of you who are waiting for the final good news!

Lovely !!
