Hello Fatima,

I am from Calgary. I did my test on Nov 1, 2019 and status changed to DM the very next day. I haven't received any correspondence regarding the oath yet. Let's hope it happens soon.

I would not mind if it is delay
But my problem is my father is sick so I wanted to go to back home

I was hoping I will get Canadian passport soon that’s why I didn’t renew my passport

That’s why I am worried

thanks

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if my citizenship application is taking too long to get approved, from what I can see here most of the people who submitted their applications in May 2019 already got it approved. Here are the timelines for mine:
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on May 27, 2019.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on August 9, 2019.
  3. We started processing your application on September 17, 2019.
Current status is "in progress"

Should ask for GCMS notes or call them and ask what stage are they on ?
Also should I add my info on your google spreadsheet ?

Your help will be greatly appreciated !

Thank you,

K.J.

I have the exact same timeline as well - haven't heard anything myself.

Read the book THOROUGHLY couple of times.

Search google for Sample tests (there are 100's) there are many. No need to subscribe these websites, there are many sample tests available.

Once you have read the book and practiced the Actual test will look Easy Peasy. But its all your hard work that pays off.

Hi admin can you update my info on the spreadsheet to Decision made as of 3rd January. Thanks !!

This really sucks.... Windsor Ontario office is taking there precious frigging time... Im tired of hearing ppl on here complain about they dont get to do the Oath as yet while alot of us is still waiting just to take the test. You all that took the test already and pass should be grateful to you are one step closer on becoming Canadian Citizens.... Congrats to all that became Canadian Citizens

Status changed to "Decision made" yesterday! Still waiting for Oath ceremony invitation

Happy new year guys, well I received a call from IRCC today to verify some info on my file and then I was told that I may receive an email or letter asking for more info if needed. The IRCC officer called back about a half an hour later to say that they don't need anything else from me and that my application is now completed!!!.
Now I may have to wait a bit for the oath ceremony because I applied for myself and the kids first and I did my wife's application a few months after and her test is on the 10th Jan ,so the officer said that they will accommodate us to have our family do the ceremony together after she passes her exam.Cheers guys!

Hi beris,

Your update above is quite confusing when compared to your latest update that ''Decison'' was made on your application on Jan. 03, Oath Letter was Dec 17, 2019 while Oath ceremony will be on Jan 10, 2020. Accurate information helps members of this forum to manage their expectations.
