Hi,

Could you please help me out with the below question.

Medicals shows as passed and background declaration has been submitted as well

I’m the sponsor and got this message,

“This message is being sent to confirm that the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to the visa office in New Delhi for further processing.”

What would be the next step after this?

Thanks in advance!
Next step background check I believe. The longest step

This means AOR2, your PR application will be transferred to the Canadian Embassy in New Delhi.
They may arrange an interview - they may not.
The PA will undergo a Background check - Security and Criminality check.
The VO(Visa Office) in New Delhi May ask for additional documents if needed.
If everything goes well then:
You will receive:
Pre arrival letter.
Request to submit a recent picture if needed.
PPR - Passport Request
COPR - Confirmation of PR or Completion of PR.
Be advised that Background check might take long.

Regards

I passed medical exam on 12 June but till today I have not received any response :( Not sure if they start transferring my files to the local office or not...

When did you submit your application? Even my Visa office is New Delhi.
Here are my timelines:
9 May 2018 - File received
14 June 2018 - AOR1
21 June 2018 - Medical Request
27 June 2018 - Sponsor Approval
1 July 2018 - Medical Received

Since then no updates. I was wondering if I can get an idea from you. Did they ask Schedule A or PCC or any other additional documents from you?

Hi everyone!
So my documebts were received on june 6th i think i received AOR ?? (Letter stating the application is received and being processed) on july 18th as well as another email with a request for schedule A that was not properly filled out (stupid mistake) and now they want me to send it to them again. I linked application online but don’t see how to attach the document...? Is it to early in the process to send documents through online account? I only see application number, nothing else. No messages. How do i send in my document!? Did this happen to anyone else?

What happens after submitting my application?

If your application is complete, you will receive Acknoledgment of Receipt (AOR1) whithin 60 days, usually 45 to 56 days via email.

Then, if eligible, the sponsor will receive the Sponsor Approval email(SA) which contains the UCI (Unique Client ID) and application number to use for tracking the status of the application.

Then, if not submitted with the application:

1. Police Check Certificate Request(PCC)

2. Medical Exam Request

3. Request to pay for PR Card (RPRF)

4. Request to submit additional documents

5. Request for any additional documents that were missing from your application

At this stage, you can check the status of your application online(ECAS) or link your application to GCKEY.

Then you might receive a file transfer email to the Local Visa Office (VO) or Canadian High Commission in your country.

****** No NEED FOR unaccompanying family certificates.

God speed
My application was received in November 2017. My wife and daughter are in Canada while I live in Trinidad.
It has passed 3 months that my medical examination was received by CIC.
How long more do I have to wait for the approval letter?

The average processing time for most applications is 12 months. It's been 8 months since your application was received. You still have a while to wait. There is nothing unusual about your timeline at all.

Thank you for the response... My daughter is 8 months old and I just want to carry her for the first time...
