Dear Admin,
Please add me to May 2018 tracker - info below:

Oath Letter date: February 25, 2019
Oath ceremony: March 28, 2019

Again this is just an estimate based on all the applications IRCC received.
Keep in mind this forum represents a very small portion of the entire pool of applicants. The majority will not be on this forum, some are silent readers and some do not update their status on the tracking sheet after a while.

I totally understand it's a small portion, but at the same time it shows a trend, I still can't believe they finish 80% of cases within a year.
We can't assume those who aren't on this forum or silent or inactive readers got their application done and we are the only one waiting for so long, in fact it can be totally opposite, we add them all and the number drops even further!

Would any of you know if a foreign working experience would be considered for "urgent processing". I only ask because its now been 16 weeks, or 4 months since my husband wrote the test and were getting concerned that this could take a while. He got a huge opportunity to work in South America later this year, but needs to provide travel documents (his passport information) by June.

I am losing any hope that this will be finished by May as they have told us it should be. I wouldn't want him to lose out on an opportunity because an officer is literally digging through his background.

Very much disappointed with the IRCC call today. My file has not even been touched and its just sitting there collecting dust. So much disappointment.

Hi, I applied for my citizenship in May 2018, I was asked for my police verification in Sep 2018 and have been waiting for updates ever since when suddenly today I see that I have directly been called for the Oath ceremony, I was expecting a invite for the citizenship test. Is this something common since from what i know a citizenship test is mandatory for everyone. Should I call and clarify?

Everyone between the ages of 18 and 54 at the time they apply for citizenship must take the citizenship test.

If you are 55 or older when you apply, you do not have to take the test. If you turn 55 during the processing of your application, you still have to take the test since you were under 55 when you signed your application.

If you older than 54, then you wouldn't be called in for a test.

I would suggest you to call IRCC and confirm. Maybe your oath and test date is the same. So just call IRCC

And even if applicant is 55+, he/she still has to attend an interview. Not directly an oath.
And here i am waiting for oath invite since Jan test. IRCC is so messed up

Hi members,

This is najabad 14 Ottawa applicant, waiting for oath since 10Jan,2019. Today I called CIC agent regarding oath and he said we sent you oath invite on February 28,2019 I told him that I did not receive any letter/oath invitation from cic, he said ok don’t you worry if you not received any letter you still have to appear your oath ceremony that is on 15 March.

So anybody experience the same problem? Any body attend oath ceremony without oath invitation?

I told him that how I can prove this on the day of ceremony that my ceremony is scheduled for today, he said am going to send you an email that what documents you have to bring with you and also mention my name and employee name he advise me that I will show this email to cic reception or staff.

Please comment as I need advise

I was in the same situation that I never received any email invite like the majority of other applicants. There was just an update on ECAS showing they sent me an invite. I called and the lady told me to print out a copy of ECAS status to show as proof. I ended up receiving a letter exactly 7 days prior to my oath ceremony. Keep checking your mail box until then.
On my oath date, there was one person who did not have the oath invite letter and they were ok with it. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Just reconfirm the location with the agent and show up on that day with or without the letter.
