Hi there! Our background check has been in progress for about 2 weeks now. Any rough ideas of how long until they make a decision? We are travelling through Central America indefinitely until we get the permanent residency and just want a rough idea when to expect a decision. Cheers

Congratulations! Did they send you a link to upload Schedule A and PCC before medical request?

First I got medical request and 10 days later got additional document request. We sent PCC with the application(upfront) so the requested document was just SchA and I was able to upload it on the CIC account and submit. Got the confirmation of the receipt of the SchA document next day.

Application recieved May 10th. SA June 7th. Medical passed June 19th. Background check in progress July 3rd.
This is our second application because we had to withdraw our first one and reapply from outland. We withdrew and reapplied within a month and a half. I am not sure if this affects anything. Thank you!!

Did you send the PCC and Schedule A already ? I think the background check shows the same as you have before you upload PCC/schedule A. Once your file is transferred to local VO, the background check status will be updated as Not Applicable.

Another chance is you might be lucky enough to get DM way more faster than anyone around.

Did you send the PCC and Schedule A already ? I think the background check shows the same as you have before you upload PCC/schedule A. Once your file is transferred to local VO, the background check status will be updated as Not Applicable.

Another chance is you might be lucky enough to get DM way more faster than anyone around.

Sent in our schedule A on June 14th. They have not asked for police check. We are thinking since he (my boyfriend) has lived in Canada for the past 3 years and already applied once they might not ask for it or already have his police check background from our previous application. Not sure but before we uploadedicated schedule a it said not applicable. It changed about 2 weeks ago. I guess we have a pretty unique case and hopefully means faster news. Thank you for your help!!
