Hello, did you receive AOR before they returned it?

You do not receive AOR's if applications are sent back, only when CIC accepts that everything is good with your package will you receive the AOR.

Basically, AOR means that they have received your package and will start working on it cause its a valid package. If its an incomplete package then it will be sent back and you will not receive an AOR.

Hello Everyone...

Most Probably this is the thread where i guess i can follow people of my badge.. We sent the application through Canada Post on 21st April and on website it says the package has been delivered on 25th April. I have not heard anything back or any email of acknowledgement yet. I am not sure if my husband has selected that SMS option...:(

Still waiting to hear from them...Any Idea usually how much time they take to reply or acknowledge?

If your package is complete and is accepted by CIC, you should receive the AOR in 2 to 4 weeks.

Hello, wanna ask for advice.

In IMM5532, Page 3 question 2 about the family member of applicant residing in Canada. I can't fill in the zip code in the space provided. Can I just hand write it? Or not put it at all? Not enough space in the form so I cannot type it in.

Please help

My opinion, hand write it. At least they will have the info they need and will understand that you don't have enough space.

My husband and I sent ours in yesterday and it was received this morning. I'm concerned now too, I didn't print and send the updated forms. Wasn't even aware there were new ones. We had everything filled out to a T but the forms were printed a couple months back. We've just been gathering all the other stuff and organizing it. We signed and dated it as May. I've had a bad feeling ever since I sent it... so what's the likelihood I'll come it back? Update: Text alert was just received, as of 23:13 est!

There is no point in worrying about it at the moment. What is done is done. All you can do now is wait 4-6 weeks. If you have not got an AOR and your past the 4 weeks, there is a good chance it is being returned. At that time, you should start to fill up the forms and get your package ready again. When you do get your package back you will be able to send it back to them faster since you have prepared the new forms in anticipation. *Speaking through experience.*

Thank you :). I'm getting very conscious when preparing the application these times.

Hello harulion,

Have you tried the same thing as well? I'm so conscious now because we are about to send it. I'm do not want it to get returned. Thank you very much for the insights. What's your application status now?

Not for the zip code, I had ran out of space for marital status on the additional family member information form, so I wrote it in.

I haven't gotten any word since I sent it. So my status is still "App Filled" I guess XD

Right... You meant the Married-physically present part? I didn't put physically present too cause we are sending photos from our wedding anyways.

2nd time around --- 1st application returned because I forgot to sign a form (received on April 5 -- returned on April 27).

New application received -- May 11 ... the wait begins.

Yes that's what I meant :)
Just being overly-cautious guess. I wrote the "physically present" by hand.
