Hi everyone...anyone here wh0 tried calling the toll free number of cic? Sasagot po ba sila? My husband was trying to call them pero wala daw po sumasagot

I called this morning and they are really busy .It took me 5 times to call CIC before I was finally connected . And wAiting time was 35 mins .But it worth it because the agent told me that our additional documents was received last Wednesday and wait for an update this week .

Couple of questions:
1)Is it possible to do an upfront medical exam, app received may 05, received AOR.. is it a good idea to get an upfront medical while we wait for ircc to request a medical exam?
2) PA has visitor visa, is it ok to come to Canada while the app is in progress and do the remainder of the process while here?
Please advise!! TIA

Hi rochelle, i did check the ecas using the receipt number but no luck, my husband call just recently he was just advice to not worry just wait for a week, they were just having a backlogs.

received my application on 9th may, didnt received aor1. but today i successfully to link my application. i entered my wife name, date of birth and where she intend to live. whats that means ? i am confused, and still waiting for SA

This means that you will be receiving AOR 1 soon.

AOR 1 emails get generated by automated system. So as soon as someone starts working on your file, he/she puts your information on computer. so at that time you can try to link application using last name and date of birth. but this could be done a day or 2 prior to your AOR 1 email.

when did you apply? i applied on May 15, currently, they seem to work on May 9, 10 files.

Choose the option last name, name and date of birth and fill all the info except passport info . Thats what i did and it worked and now i have my file number as well

Awwww sorry to hear that just have faith, it will come. We've been there too, last November our application was sent back after 23 days. But everything happens for a reason. GOD'S TIME IS ALWAYS PERFECT!
