My Masters and B.Sc were done in English in non English speaking country. But I have my Ph.D. Certificate from United Kingdom from well known university... and the guidelines say:Where did you complete you masters or Bachelors degree from? you can use those certificates with transcripts if the program was in english and the transcripts and certificate were in english as well.
yep! same boat.. from Calgary, received on 11th MayMy application was received on May 12 by CIC, as per Courier tracking. I am from Calgary.
I have not received my AOR yet . Is anyone in the samboat ?

You are right. I'm not sure why that agent i told you about insisted on including transcripts. you should be good with a certificate from UK. if the masters program is done in english from a non speaking english country (english transcript & Certificate) i think that you should add that certificate and transcript just in case.My Masters and B.Sc were done in English in non English speaking country. I added my transcripts too. I just thought to add them with degree. I have degree from USA.You are right. Thanks Tameraq. Its really laughable that CIC does not even follow any order as far as generating AOR (which is simply an acknowledgement). Hope common sense and fairness prevails..: It should be first come first and should respect a candidate..there is no criteria on how ppl receive AOR's as you can see it is not according to first come first processed. you can see on the sheet that some ppl have application received by CIC May 1st and still no AOR while others CIC received date May 23rd and have received their AOR already. so be patient and as long as you don't get your application returned in the mail then you're good. and I have seen some applications on previous months that have been really delayed in the beginning but then have accelerated to over pass other applications that were doing really good.
my Application received May 15th and no AOR yet (Mississauga).
yeah you can never tell if it is needed or not. Adding a transcript just in case is the right thing to do i think.I added my transcripts too. I just thought to add them with degree. I have degree from USA.
Did she make any money that year? If yes, file the tax for that year.1. In the past 6 years, she's stayed in Canada for 4 complete and 1 partial year. She had forgotten to file taxes for that partial year since she was new and alone. Although she has filed taxes for 4 of the 6 years, I'm wondering if I should get her to file that 1 partial year's taxes too before the application- or can it wait till later??
If she was employed in Canada at that time and took time off (vacation or whatever) for the trip, you should not mention it at all in the work/education question. It should simply be covered by her employment that started before the trip and ended after the trip (just like a regular vacation). The time spent during the trip outside of Canada should be mentioned in the physical presence calculator.2. She went on a vacation to India and Dubai for 2 months last year where she didn't really have fixed addresses. Where and how should I report this in the application? Since it doesn't fall under work or education right..its between a work period actually..
Thank you so much! Cleared up the confusion I had!Did she make any money that year? If yes, file the tax for that year.

Do you have the address of that community centre in Mississauga? I can take my application for review before submissionWhen I applied I went to a community center in Mississauga that helps new immigrants apply for citizenship they go thru your application and make sure everything is in order. I have the same situation I have a masters degree from California state University (2003) and I included a copy of the diploma only. so the agent asked me to include a copy of the transcripts too as my application could be returned because of that so i told her that according to their requirement sheet it doesn't show that i need to provide both so she said I know that they need both! so i included both (certificate & transcripts) just in case. I hope this helps.
YOU WILL HAVE TO CALL FOR APPOINTMENT. they can even translate a birth certificate if you have a kid for free (official translation).Do you have the address of that community centre in Mississauga? I can take my application for review before submission
