Hi Shaikhzees,

In my case few months ago, I provided all on that checklist just to make sure. But during my citizenship interview back in March 2017, the immigration officer returned my extra copies and told me I provided too much identification photo copies lol. And she smiled at me. I just told her that "Oppss sorry about that" and I took those extras. Although, I don't mind sending those before I just followed whatever in the checklist to lessen my worries.

And then everything went pretty smooth. I became Canadian Citizen just last month.

Goodluck to you...

Pretty interesting 0jenifer0. As of today all the applications are complete, just for my son, the school is hesitant to provide any form of report with his picture on it. Don't know what my other options are.

There is no delay. CIC website says that it takes 1 year to get the citizenship.
Its one year for the whole processing not for AOR

Thanks Harry

what do you mean by nill ----do you mean NO for require to file and NO to tax filed

((I put all the dates I have traveled in 2011 and 2012 so the stamps show in my passport copies.))

How did you put them ??? they ask for reason I would say the reason is Employment then what....

regards
Ameer
yes I put NO on the tax filed.... you put all the dates and after date you put the reason.......at the end you put you were employed in Saudi......anyways your employment records you put will show you were employed out of Canada...hope this helps.

Hi guys, I'm actually now working on my mom's application for citizenship and I have some questions for her application if someone could help me..

1. In the past 6 years, she's stayed in Canada for 4 complete and 1 partial year. She had forgotten to file taxes for that partial year since she was new and alone. Although she has filed taxes for 4 of the 6 years, I'm wondering if I should get her to file that 1 partial year's taxes too before the application- or can it wait till later??

2. She went on a vacation to India and Dubai for 2 months last year where she didn't really have fixed addresses. Where and how should I report this in the application? Since it doesn't fall under work or education right..its between a work period actually..

Will appreciate any feedback. Thanks! :)
Good luck to everyone!

If you provided your email address and received A OR via email they do not send a hardcopy although it says that on Eva's. You can download it

My status is In Process from June 7th. :D

Can someone please update the sheet? Best of Luck for all May Applicants!

Hi Loco,

CIC won't send you Discover Canada book. During my time I downloaded the PDF file on my phone at app store or thru cic website. You'll see that on your iBook app if your using iPhone. Then I also ordered Discover Canada online for FREE; and it'll takes about 3-4 days for delivery; if you want to order a copy here's the link below.

Also, use laptop or desktop to open the link. Then once you open the link, scroll down and click the blue highlighted button ORDER PUBLICATION; afterwards you can order your's if you haven't receive any yet. Hope this help you. Good luck...
