I have already posted this question in June forum - but as time is running out and i need a reply urgently, thus re-posting the same here

Hello All,

There's something that's puzzling me a bit.

In the Document Checklist for the application, it mentions that:
1). Photocopy of both sides of PR Card
2). Photocopies of two (2) pieces of Identification
3). Photocopies of biographical pages of Passport

Now my question is, if in my application, i submit ONE copy of PRC, ONE copy of Health Card and ONE copy of Passport - would it fulfill all the three conditions mentioned above.

Cause Point (2) asks for two pieces of Identification, and i am trying to hit two birds with one stone, by giving PRC under (1) and thinking it fulfills part of criteria for point 2 also. Hope i am clear here.

Please do let me know. Apart from this, all set and plan to submit application tomorrow.

Thanks in advance to all the contributors to this thread !!

I did the same as Horizon13! I sent in a coloured (that's my choice) copy of my PR card, Driver's License, Health Card and all the pages of my Passport (since I had an issue during my PR renewal with me just sending the first and last pages- didn't want to risk it again)

Oh yes of course ! Why didn't i think of this before - thanks Horizon13 & CanadianSoonToBe
Will throw in both sides of Driving License as well.
My wife doesn't has a license, what can suffice her doc requirement.

Same for the kids - at the moment, i have attached their PR cards, Health Card and Passport copies. Anything else i can add?? (age is less then 14)

I went to immigration specialist at a community center in Mississauga that helps immigrants apply for citizenship and makes sure your application is complete. she took all my papers did some changes to my application (i did a mistake on my children info) and then she included the following documents in the envelop which i mailed to CIC.

1- one copy of drivers license
2- one copy of health card

3- one copy biographical pages of passport (Better not use as an ID)
4- one copy of PR card (can't be used as an ID)
5-proof of English proficiency (Masters diploma + transcripts)
6- copy of record of landing
7-presence calculator signed/dated form
8-citizenship application signed/dated
9- 2 photos
10- proof of fee payment

Conclusion. it is better to include a copy of your driving license as well.

you can add one copy of one of the school reports. (I included the latest school report)

In Manitoba you can get the Manitoba Identification Card if you don't have a Drivers license. Same format with photo. Probably, you have the same option in your Province.

Don't forget to include a copy of your immigration visa (will be on your passport). my wife's PR card renewal application was returned because she didn't include a copy of that immigration VISA! eventhough that wasn't mentioned on CIC website as required so better to include landing VISA copies for the whole family.

Hello seniors
1. Related to tax and citizenship application...I am going to apply by July5 and want some help with tax question
I landed in June 2011 and stayed for 33 days in 2011 and then came back in June 2012 and stayed for 35 days. I settled in August 2013 and since then I did not go anywhere outside Canada. I filed tax for 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 and I guess I don't have problem with filing tax for 4 years out of 6. My question:
How I am going to answer the question of ( required to file ) and (tax filed ) for 2011 and 2012???
my answer looks like this:
2016 -----yes ........yes
2015------yes.........yes
2014......yes.........yes
2013......yes.........yes
2012......??........??
2011.....??..........??

2. physical presence Calculator:
I landed in 27 June 2011. In 02 - 08- 2011 to 13 -06-2012 I was in Saudi Arabia during this 10 months I travelled to US, Singapore, Bahrain and UAE for work and get back to Saudi Arabia. The question: How I am going to report this trip in physical presence calculator given that Canada is not involved in all these trips. I left Saudi Arabia and get back to Saudi Arabia? I left Canada on 02/08/2011 and get back to Canada on 13/06/2012...
Thank you so much in advance
Ameer

That's surprising. It makes sense on PRC renewal - but on Citizenship application, i doubt we need this. Still no harm in attaching // Thanks tameraq
