I think when sending anything to them you need to use the web form available online.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp

You can upload a scanned copy of the clearance there I believe and as well provide all the details that are required.
I think that's what they meant. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong!

Yes, I just saw two and they both went through the Ottawa VO.

no

your application was submitted just over a month ago. it is taking longer than that to get sponsor approval. ecas is not a reliable source to know what is going on with your application.

I'm an April applicant, but thought I'd answer your question.

They sure do. I talked to CIC and they said applicants that meet "certain criteria" can be sent to Ottawa. I asked what that criteria was and they didn't give me much - said that it depends on the Country they are from and if they require a visa to come to Canada or not among other things.

My husband is Irish and his application went to Ottawa.

So when I sent my application off, I didn't have my FBI Clearance yet, but included a letter stating that it would be sent to accompany the application as soon as I got it. I got it a week later and sent it off. I also emailed a scanned copy of it *just in case* with a note saying the hard copy was on its way. I just received this reply to the email. What the heck does this mean?! lol ...I'm not sure what I should be doing? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi EKate20132015!

I will be in the same situation than you as I need to soon send my FBI clearance to CIC (after already mailing the application package earlier). Can I ask which address you used, and did you have your UCI already? I will use the webform for the copy as well, but since they clearly state that the criminal records should be the original document I want to mail them it.
