How do you know about the processing time stated means 80% of applicant each country? Where is on CIC website tell you?
Thank you.
I can't find the 80% figure on the CIC website anymore since the page has changed multiple times now, but here's where it says vaguely that it's viewed by country now:

"Prior to December 31, 2015, processing times for many of our services were displayed by visa office. This was useful when applications for permanent or temporary residence were always processed by the nearest visa office. However, we now have the ability to move applications around our global network to ensure they are processed as efficiently as possible. This means your application may not be processed at the office closest to where you live.

For many services, instead of asking about your nearest visa office, you are now asked for your country of residence. This provides you with a more accurate processing time. For other services, you may see a single processing time, no matter where you live. This is our commitment to process applications within that time. These processing times are updated on a weekly basis."

I'm not sure why they're saying that they move applications around now. They've always done this to some degree, although they do seem to be doing it more now.

Thank you for your advice. I hope by moving application around or another way CIC improved it will be help my processing time a lot shorter. I expect 6 months or less but on CIC side my country is shown 29 months (Thailand). How crazy!! :)

Yeah, if anything the processing times are far less accurate now than when they were calculated by visa office instead of the country the principal applicant is from. Even then they were very inaccurate!

Good luck with your application ;D

Hey all,
So when I sent my application off, I didn't have my FBI Clearance yet, but included a letter stating that it would be sent to accompany the application as soon as I got it. I got it a week later and sent it off. I also emailed a scanned copy of it *just in case* with a note saying the hard copy was on its way. I just received this reply to the email. What the heck does this mean?! lol ...I'm not sure what I should be doing? Any help would be much appreciated.

I think when sending anything to them you need to use the web form available online.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp

You can upload a scanned copy of the clearance there I believe and as well provide all the details that are required.
I think that's what they meant. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong!

I think you're probably right. I guess I probably should do it? Since they suggested it? Even though I sent the hard copy...?

I don't think it hurts to send it through the form.

another question
is it wise step to apply for visitor visa for spouse? i heard lot of rejection for that?
According to what I read on the forums, it's a 50/50 chance. However, it won't affect your Sponsorship application.
