Hello May Applicants!

I'm going to join this group because I'm planning on sending mine out on May 4th.
Been gathering documents the whole month of April...and finally
sending my application out from Korea.

Good luck y'all.

Eeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkk SO excited!! I'm part of the May applicants :D :D :D
Been working on the application since beginning of March. Going to send it mid May.

Hi there,

will there be any good news on timeline:

Application submitted: Sept 09, 2015
received in NDVO: November 20, 2015
In process: November 24, 2015
Medical and Police clearance received Nov 20, 2015

After this, there is no update and tried to do an MP inquiry, MP didnt do anything, and said wait and watch :(

Good luck May applicants! Feb and March have been going well so far and the April team (myself and the others) are waiting on SA's now. Should see some CIC changes this month too to how you can view your apps.

Planning to apply for family sponsorship after 2 years ban from CIC under misrepresentation of the previous FSW case which was petitioned on March 2010. Now, it's already been 6 years we have been living far distance apart! I think, the God himself might be shocked to see our situation. We are planning to apply on 24th May by when the misrepresentation gets over. Plz kindly advise me how I can make my application stronger to escape delay and confusion...

Might need to open this question up to the main part of the forum. Looks heavy. Loads of info out there to make a case look strong, but as you had a ban, you are going to be very tightly scrutinized so you will need to make it tight. Like I said, start a new forum topic seeking help there to get more support as this is just a group for May applicants to track each others progress.

Hi Everyone !

Hopefully, I can send these papers this month !

But I have a question first.

Question 14 is : Choose your current marital status : Married.
b) Enter the date you were married :

Should I write the date of the ceremony ( November 14th ) or the date we went to the city hall to sign the paper to make it official ( December 25 th )

I am really confused !

edit: We got married in Japan and the city hall part was also in Japan ( That is why we could go on December 25th ! )

Put the date you officially became married. As in legally married. Include a note saying that you got legally married on one day and celebrated on another day and explain why. Shoild be ok.

Thanks !

My wife wanted to make it official on December 25th because it is more romantic.

Women.

Yes, I also signed the marriage papers 7 months before my actual ceremony.
Booking a wedding venue in Korea is crazy! Put in the date that matches your marriage certificate.
Later, there's a question that asks about if you had a formal ceremony to celebrate the marriage.
You can just explain there that it was on a different date than when you signed the papers.

Hi guys!

I already sent my application to my spouse in Canada, we're planning to send it before the end of the month.

thx for the tip.

About the medical examination, it is rather unclear and I would like to ask a question.

They say * the applicant and ALL the family members have to pass a medical exam *

I mean, really ??? Why do her mother, father, brother have to spend hundreds of dollars to go to another city and pass tests. They don't want to emigrate !

Is it really necessary to have a medical exam for every family member? Or is it only my wife ?
