Today is Day 57 (PR app received on May 30, and started processing app on June 16) and waiting for my SA still. I called the CIC and the agent launched an inquiry for me, and said that I should expect a response to the inquiry in 3 months!!!! He also went on to say that it often doesn't take that long and it goes more quickly . . . but REALLY, 3 months to respond to an inquiry on the SA part of the application?!?!?! Patience is truly a virtue. Not sure what to think though.

3 months is the amount of time they give ANYONE when an inquiry is put in. CIC can not put in more than 1 inquiry on a file within 90 days of eachother. this is standard for every inquiry no matter what kind of application. it doesn't mean it will take 90 days to get a response, it just means that's their procedure. more than likely, you'll be approved as a sponsor way sooner than 90 days.

Relax, they're all probably just on summer break or something. Our application was received May 24 and we haven't gotten SA yet either. Called CIC and they told us to expect something by mid August. My guess, the officer responsible for our application is still on vacation ;D

I will start to worry once the June applicants start getting SA. Before that, I'll just stay annoyed and impatient about the long wait

Wow, I got SA by today!! So happy , Thank you to CIC agent who notified about my waiting time expiry and it did work right away by next day!!! File transfered to Warsaw Office. I wish everyone to get SA asap, I know how hard is to wait wait when your spouse is not close to you!!

No worries, CanadianPrairieGent! Yesterday, they also laucnhed an inquiry for me and told me that I have to wait till Aug, but next day I got SA. Just wait and pray for the best!!

I called CIC yesterday, and I was told to wait until the END OF AUGUST, and the agent didn't make any enquiry for my file.

Then I made call today, and the agent told me that the last update/note written on my application was NO CONCERNS as of JULY 20. The agent also told me that means EVERYTHING IS FINE, and he did make an enquiry to the officer that my application is 4days late as I'm on my 60th day of waiting. He requested to send an email/update to me, and told me to expect the email within the next day.

I am hoping that also mean that I have been approved already.

That's great news.

When they told me that I'd passed SA they wouldn't confirm which VO we were transferred to,
The agent said he wasn't permitted to give me more information and I had to wait to receive the email.

I think other agents have told people where their file was transferred, but I didn't argue the point.

I have recieved an update on my application saying that " we sent you a letter on mail 7/jul / 2016 . Consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us . Neither me nor my wife in canada recieved any letter .

did you receive an email? they could be referring to email as well. how long does it usually take for mail to get to canada from romania? it could very well still be in the mail. since canada post doesn't deliver on sat and sun, those dates can't be counted in the timeline, and it could very well take a while for the mail to be delivered. you can always send a case specific enquiry. know that cic may not do anything until it's been 4 weeks after the mailed date. i'd also recommend ordering your GMSC notes now. even though the notes will take 30 days, they will most likely tell you what they sent.

My timeline is same like u....waiting for SA too...
