Hi bethany.. Haven't received SA letter thru post or mail..however Im actually not sure since on the link of my CIC it shows review of eligibility; in progress.. Also.. Both side on ECAS shows In Progress. Were planning to call CIC on monday just to be sure.

How about you? Did they already transferred your files on your respective VO?

Hi Dolly, I can't tell what our status is. One July 23 both sides of ecas changed to In Process. Previously it was just my side.
and on My Account (in the applicants name, not my name) it show Applicaiton Open and In Process.

Everyone I've seen posting about their new My Account information seems to have the exact same status for all lines of the document.

And my ecas changing to In Process for the Applicant on the morning of July 23 makes me suspicious that bringing the new system online
and uploading the information from one system to the another, may have automatically resulted in ecas for applicants changing to In Process from Application Received.

So, in short, I have no idea where we are in the process. :'( :-\

I just called CIC and the agent told me that my SA has been approved and he will ask CIC to send me the email for confirmation which I should receive soon. So happy.. Finally got SA on the 60th Day after file submission. Application submitted May 26.

Congrats farazkapadia!!! Very good news for you!!! I also applied on May 26 and called CIC to check my application status today. They said they will send a notification about expiry of processing time to the person who is reviewing my case and also the agent asked me to call back on Aug 23 if I wont get any updates by e-mail.

Called CIC just now, after a brief hold .... i was told that i met requirements to be a SPONSER on July 21 and that a request was put to see why an email confirmation was not sent out...

WHY NOT THEY SEND EMAILS

NO EMAIL CONFIRMATION FOR AOR1 AND SPONSER APPROVAL

Application received May 25
AOR1 June 14 (through ECAS)
Possible SA July 21 (through Call centre)
HOPEFULLY DELHI VO WILL SEND AOR2 LETTER/EMAIL SOON

Phoned CIC. They advise we got SA on July 19.
They said they sent an email on July 20

No email ever received. He said phone back at end of week to request email be resent if I don't receive it this week.
That's a loooong routing time for an email that was supposedly sent. But whatever.
I still need the letter so I'll call at end of week. Checked Spam Trash etc. Not received.

BUt FINALLY we have SA as of July 19

You could - depends on your timeline

It is always advisable to apply or visitor visa once you have SA and your file is in Process (working on Primary applicant background checks etc). Probability to get approved is high during this phase. Prior to it its all Luck and low probability......BTW whats your timeline ??
