looks like cic has fixed/in the process of fixing the problem about Sponsors not being able to access the sponsors side online. I am now able to access it! Looks like they are slow in updating things because I received SA June 3, 2016 but online its saying in process still. anyone else in a similar position?

Same boat!

it seems odd to me that even after fixing the website for us to access it that they wouldn't put updated info about our apps. Why not put that it is been approved or decision made since already being approved to be a sponsor. weird!

Just checked with my friend, he told me it is never updated as Approved, it always stays in In Process until a decision is made (He got SA 4 months back). It may be just in his case and maybe it's different for other people.

SA processing up from 53 to 56 days...

I can now access ECAS from Sponsor's side as well.

App received: May 24
AOR1: June 10

We have exactly the same timeline. Just got checked my Sponsor's side today, and it showed the same infos. Hope we get our SAs sooooooon!

I Hope so mrsm2016....Though just figured out that SA processing time went up to 56 days ....wierd !!

Can now access sponsor's side as well, AOR received 1st June, said they started processing the sponsors application on 31st May with no further updates.

Thanks God..Finally updated ECAS on sponsors side..

We received your application to sponsor -------- on May 25, 2016
We sent you correspondence acknowledgement receipt on your application(s) on June 11, 2016
We started processing application on June 10, 2016

Does that mins SA? Or AOR 1?

Another question is..as what is stated in his address..Winnipeg, Alberta nakaindicate s ECAS instead of Winnipeg, Manitoba? Do we need to update that? Will it affect the status of our application?

Thank you so much..Godbless..

Why is everyone so worried about SA time going from 53 to 56? When I sent my documents, I think it was 38, by the time my docs arrived, it was 43 days ? (I may be a day or so off).
They accepted my documents on May 5th, and I got SA on June 30th.
My application was simple and clean, there were no obstacles and I provided more than required.

If you do your math, that is 56 days. Most of the people (99%, but there were couple of lucky ones that got it quicker) that match my dates got it the same day +/- 1 day.
People who sent a week later, got their SA a week later.
So the number 56 is realistic number that reflects what actually is happening.

With the limit increased for immigration in Canada this year that is approaching historic records, and very little money been added to the budget, I can only predict the numbers going up, unless people all suddenly will not want to immigrate to Canada :)

I believe SA time provided on the website reflects the time from last one or two months, you can't expect today's applications to be processed in the same amount of time, as serge.bender mentioned. It's for people to just have an idea of how much, approximately, you should expect waiting.

sponsor approval goes up and down as a normal course of business throughout the year based on many factors such as application volume, # of officers assigned, etc. this current "increase" is really nothing new. there are times people wait 90 days for sponsor approval.

I requested GCMS notes. and from notes, it says my file is "Case forwarded to CPC-Ottawa for processing" in April, although the decision says "passed" back in April too. But I haven't received any approval letter.

Anyone had the same experience and can share what this means "case forwarded to CPC-Ottawa"?
