it is all good, I have a gut feeling that we might get approved on the 9th of june. Let's see how this thing end up.

BTW I also have a question.. it says "your applications to Sponsor a member of the Family Class has been recieved...." why does it say member instead of Spouse or is it everyones like that who received AOR1?

It says that coz Spouse is also a family member n they dont address every family member differently like brother sister or spouse for that matter.

They received our file on May 4th, and haven't heard from them yet, no AOR by mail or email. Should we start to worry, or would it be a good idea to communicate with them by phone?

It varies from person to person. It took me about a week to be able to access it after AOR1. For some people it can take either less or more time. Some people have found that they're only able to access certain parts of eCAS at first. Don't worry; eCAS is notoriously inaccurate and unreliable.

May 2nd applicant. Day 35 for me. Haven't heard anything either. Planning to phone them Monday to see what info I can get.

I checked eCAS. I am able to access my spouses account (he is the primary applicant). When i try to access it under the sponsors account(myself) nothing comes up. why is that?

A lot of people (myself included) cant access the sponsor side of ecas for some reason. Most can only access the applicant side.

Moat likwly a technical thing. Dont worry about it. Ecas gives you no information really.

Called cic today. the agent was nice but didn't really provide much helpful info. I told him that my application was received may 2nd but i haven't heard confirmation that it has been received. it is now day 35. He told me to keep being patient. it is still to early to hear back. wait at least 50 days to hear something.

Online it says 43 days, many people are getting word after 20 days but i am being told to wait till 50 days! crazy!! He couldn't even tell me the file/client number. Said since i can't see it online that he can't check either. (doesn't really make sense). anyway i guess i will keep waiting! ??? ??? ???

Hi zhangstar, Happy to hear you also received your AOR1
CIC uses the phrase "member of the Family Class" to refer to the category of application they received.
My letter is the same, so your letter has the standard wording.
