I'm so frustrated with the inability for the people in charge to update the processing times pages to do the job.

Which is update it weekly.

Not update it on the 24th and say it was updated on the 14, not update it when they feel like it . It says updated Weekly... meaning
that it should be updated once a week. And now rolling into the long weekend.. I wonder if they will even update it this week at all..
Which means I cant call , I'm the 26th, waiting for SA and they just will not update that site so I can call and ask them what the heck
is going on with my application.

I just feel so frustrated with this. I know I should be patient, but when I am told they are processing files from the 25th and I know
people from later then that have gotten their approvals it makes me think they put mine in some dusty drawer and forgot it......

Sorry for the vent.. No one else really understands what I'm so frustrated about because they have no experience with this sort of thing.

try calling, just tell them that u have not heard anything since the AOR. they'll for sure give you info, theyve been working on may 25th application, theyre supposed to be done with those by now.

Not very helpful, though its not really his fault.
If they would update the site in a timely manner, then they would be
able to help me.

aww! sorry about that. i got the same answer when i first phoned in, i was just lucky that a nice agent answered my 2nd call & gave me infos.

Well at least I was told they are working on Monday , so its not a long weekend for them, so if they do update
the site today or even monday , I can then call

They updated processing times.. now they will have to talk to me..
I'm on hold now.
No emails from them and Ecas is still in process.

He told me my application was put into process on July 24th. My Ecas says June 30th.

Now he's telling me I will have wait until Sept 24 before the accessment is complete?

Does anyone understand this?

We sent away our application on the 16th May from Australia, it was received on the 26th May.
We received our AOR on July 1st.
Decision made on 24th July on ecas.
Email received and SA approved on 31st July! Our application has been forwarded to Sydney visa office! Yippee!!

It could be how you heard or interpreted him. Maybe he meant they actually started work on it on July 24 (after AOR on June 30 when it became in process). And it could take 2 months so he said you could have to wait until September 24. Relax, keep checking ECAS, and call again next week.

I ordered notes on my file so I can better understand why its taking so much longer then everyone else.
I did call back and ask them to explain to me again , because it was quite confusing and I wanted to know how to
request notes.
He said something about my SIN card but was not really able to elaborate on it much but that is being
processed and I will know by Sept 24th at the latest. He said he does not know why its taking longer then
average but that they are working on it.

OK, and the notes will take 30 days even if accessed right away because they just queue it to be sent after 30 days so that they are not inundated by requests. So 2 months at the latest means still hope for a lot sooner. Good luck.

they put incorrect address for my husband and they never did send me anything, I would not have even
known I had AOR if someone hadn't of told me in the call center. I kind of feel like the person working
on my file that day might have not been on the ball with what they were doing. If it went into process on July
24th.. how long after do you think I would hear anything ? Surely 2 months is the long range right?

I got my email today. Ours has been sent to Ottawa. Anybody know how long this could be?? Not in a major rush but like most would just like it out the way.

If July 24 is like your new AOR then add the usual time of around 4 weeks. Maybe the SIN is a complication. Maybe ECAS changes next week. Keep checking ECAS and call once a week in case the explanation from a different call centre agent changes.

I also recommend calling once a week, and give them just enough information so they'll look at the file. I called every week for 6 weeks and got a range of agents on the phone - most were very good and a couple were horrible. I found that not saying anything upfront about calling before helped - the 2nd time I called I mentioned that I had called the week before and the agent didn't even take my info. He just week into this rant about 90 days, you are calling too much and too early, etc. After that, I left out that I had called before and it seemed to work better. I didn't always hear what I was hoping to hear, but at least they looked.
