Hello mrpotatohead , I experienced the same thing...I checked my ecas this morning then a decision made was written under sponsorship assessment with a message " We sent you correspondence on July 14,2015 about the decision on your application".
I didn't receive any email from CIC... It made me scared and anxious..... Did you received an email after you found out this one on your ecas? Thanks

Hey Neng,

Yes, I did! My partner ended up receiving a positive SA email on the 13th :)
You've probably got nothing to worry about.

cali2bc it's my birthday too! =] happy birthday !!!

we got SA on july 6th.

ecas still saying "application received" but not in process ...boo.

Happy Birthday, birthday twin!

Unfortunately, we got a very unpleasant agent yesterday and told us that we are not to pester CIC for updates, and that my application is still in process, because ecas says "in process." I think we are on the naughty list for calling twice (we wanted to confirm they had the correct information).

I understand that calling excessively is not appropriate, but I did not pay over $1,000 just to be quite rudely told that I cannot call CIC about my application.

I'll wait at least another month, but this is silly. :(

Yey! I checked my Ecas and was surprised to see "Decision Made" on my account as a sponsor. They say they sent me correspondence on July 14, 2015. I didn't receive any email yet. Hopefully its good news ;D . On the other side with my husband profile it was updated to Medical results has been received. :)

Same for me. 'We sent you correspondence on July 15, 2015 about the decision on your application.' No email.
Do you have a number to CIC (form overseas) and do you know if they work on Saturdays? I would like to call them to check if it's positive.

Hi everybody, please is there anyone whose Vo is in accra? My file has be transferred .

Hey! I hope everyone is doing well (and Happy Eid for all those who celebrate)
Does anyone know if you get another email for AOR2 from the visa office or must we just hope that the ecas will update to something else?

It depends on the visa office. Some people get the AOR2 very quickly, some never get it and just receive PPR after a while. To me, the whole thing with receiving emails or letters by a regular mail is a mess. Sometimes people don't even get AOR or SA and they only hear something after receiving AOR2 from the local visa office. They should really work on their skills of informing people about what's going on with their applications. It would be a win-win situation because applicants would stop calling the CIC and asking them about updates so often. Plus we all paid over 1000 CAD to apply and in my opinion it would be nice if they did their job well (meaning send AOR/SA/AOR2 emails at the right time) :)
Good luck to everyone!

so true! The least they can do is to inform us!

I've been out of the country for 2 weeks but would like to add I received SA on July 6 according to ECAS. The email I received notifying me of this was on July 13. It has been transferred to Ottawa.

I keep looking at the spreadsheet every day and I was sure that you've got your SA but you probably were not able to write that info for some reason :)

Yeah, I was in the USA at comiccon with my fiance who I am sponsoring! I'm hoping Ottawa picks up the pace, a Christmas together would be a great present from the government, since she is back in the USA after we established common law here in Canada. She was getting bored not being able to work during that 1 year.

Another day with no SA....

Same here. I need SA soon so that I can send my FBI report to Ottawa. I don't think I can send it until I've received SA, right?

I'm starting to get concerned that they've either lost my application, something is missing, or it's completely out of queue. CIC, you threw off my groove.

I really suggest you to call again. We called 4 times over 2 days and all the agents were relatively helpful and nice. It was probably just a bad luck to get the one, who told you not to call. After all, on the official website it states that you have the right to call if your timing has passed.
As for me, I m still concerned about not receiving any confirmation from CiC so far. And it s really unclear whether it was sent by mail or email(one agent said it was sent by mail, another one said that it will be sent by email). And I don't understand why would they send it by mail anyway if we clearly stated an email as a preferred contact. So now, even though all our papers for Quebec are ready, we cannot send it, since the letter from CiC is missing, and we are losing precious time. :( this is so frustrating.

Inpasarable, I'm sorry that you still haven't heard anything. My husband is afraid to call again because he thinks that we are blacklisted. Do you have the number to call from outside Canada? Where did you find it?
