i personally wouldn't mind if it arrives a day later. it would be a bummer, yes. but...hey.. i'm here since 2010...it took them 2 years for my PR....its been now 5 years im here. If i would have to wait 1 more year..well...i made it the last 5 years here...so.. 1 more year doesn't change anything...

Technically, for you (and me) it would be two more years. Under the new rules you cannot count the pre-PR time.
So if, right now, you have exactly 2 years as a PR, plus 2 years before, under the new rules you
would only have 2 years total. So to have 4 years, you would have to wait 2 more years.

I sent my Application on the 5th May...arrived in Sydney 12th May...we'll see...if they decide to open that file in August for whatever reason.. i would have spent 15$ more for something i don't have any influence. Well.. i used those 15bucks for a Pizza and an icecream. lool

5th of May feels much safer than "end of May/beginning of June".
For you the risk may not be worth the extra $15, for me it was.
And even knowing now that the rules didn't change today,
I still think that was $15 well spent, given the information available at the time.
I still wouldn't say it's a reason to laugh...

I also hate the feeling of suspense and uncertainty.
Now it's delivered and there is nothing more/better I could do.
So I can start enjoying my summer ;)

@ sjakub

fine with me...2 more years....doesn't change anything... we/I have the PR status...we renew the card...reason for me not to rush....thats it ... thats all. :) I wanted to come here...not because of the soggy fries with cheese and sauce (Poutine) of course...other reasons. looool

@ ari5323

Thank you for respecting for my opinion...likewise.

Obviously i cant (and want) to stop you from rushing. But, what i do mind (like in any other forum i come across and again, i cant do anything about it) that here most of the questions being asked are simply BECAUSE the applications ARE rushed and documents haven't been read properly and completed ....and filling up the forum with questions which can be easly answered by reading the Documents before, and the website...and certain "panic calls" are made starting with " i forgot to..." or "is it important..." or "what does it mean when..." or "how do it complete question 3b...etc "
Here are not THAT many real questions....this only by the way.

anyways........that's it from my side. in general... i wish you all good luck...i'll keep reading here and then....and try to help when i can.... but its possible that my german thinking is sometimes a bit "inconvenient" here.

Is someone following the April's applicants tracker to know who is getting their AORs right now?

Never mind. Here is the April's tracker. People from around April 25th are getting their AOR.
Almost there, friends... almost there.

Hi everyone

I hope I'm eligible to join the group. I sent my application on Feb 26th. However, the application was returned on Mar 20th because the language approved document was not eligible. So I took the CELPIP-LS test and sent it again on May 1st. Not hearing anything yet so far. Nice to meet everyone here and hope you all have a great day.

Hello there, and welcome.
Just out of curiosity, what was the language proof that you sent in February and was rejected?

I just took a look at the April's applicants tracker and the April 24 applicants are getting their AORs right now. So... if logic follows with CIC, you should receive yours in the following 10 days, I guess. Keep us posted.
Thanks!

Hi I sent my transcript of my business management diploma course which was taken at 2008 at Vancouver. I didn't include the diploma because I cannot find it. :-\ I didn't apply it from the college again because according to CIC "Proof of completion of a secondary or post-secondary program conducted in French or English, either in Canada or abroad, includes: A diploma or transcripts from a secondary or post-secondary school indicating the successful completion of a program, in French or English, either in Canada or abroad. ", but anyway, it was returned. I didn't try to find out why it's not eligible because I just wanted to get this done before the C-24 bill starts.

I guess the reason CIC didn't accept my transcript because it only shows the grades instead of indicating the "successful completing a program". Just guess :)

Yup I always check the April batch. Some April 27 & 29 got AoR already and one's claiming first week of May in here.

I only submitted my transcript too without the diploma but it shows the date when I graduated so I guess mine's okay??

Welcome fellow May applicant. Can you please update the spreadsheet with your info, thanks: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jDOqiILRSPU01t6UukQ9krCWBvaroaIkOPZcjoENMyw/edit#gid=0

Honestly, I don't know if yours is okay or not. I can only pray for you.
The transcript of record I sent, includes program's name, period covered, grade of each module, and school's address. The only missing part is that not state clearly that "I've completed the course". Anyway, good luck to you.

I have updated my information on the spreadsheet, just not sure if I did it right. :)

What's her timeline? First week of May? Like May 4 to May 8?
My application reached CIC on May 7th, no news yet.

My bad, so sorry. My friend said she sent her application on april 22 and AOR was may 27. So it was roughly a month before she received her AOR. I apologized again for the info.

Nowadays CIC is extremely slow in sending AORs, I'm following April's applicants, each day only one or two applicants get their AOR.

Np. What's the date CIC received your friend's application then if she sent if April22?

CIC at this moment is swormed with a massive amount of applications. Many people want to beat bill C-24, I guess expect delays until C-24 kicks in.
