Hi,
I have a question and I wondered if you can help.
I worked in Canada for 2 years, but I had to leave for 6 months while i waited for my PR. During that 6 months i came back to Canada a few times just for vacation, in the residency calculator can i count those days? If so that means i could apply May 25th... if not i have to wait until July and after the new bill!

In the meantime I realized that I am a super dumb person. All of my previous calculations were wrong. I was putting the date I arrived to an overseas country, not the date I left Canada. There is 1 day difference and in total of 7 trips, this makes 7 days difference. I can no longer apply in May. But it is even worse: I am leaving Canada on June 4th for four months and according to the new calculation I meet the residency requirements on June 5th!!
I am fucking stupid, really. Perhaps I shouldn't apply at all. But I was wondering whether can I complete the application package and have a friend of mine sent it to CIC while I am away? This sounds reasonable to me now, but I lost faith in my ability to deal with these issues.

You can claim for the days during which you were physically present in Canada, but make sure you report all of your EXITS/ Absence on your residency calculator and after that the calculator will decide for you if right now you are eligible to apply or not !

Yes i put in all my exits dates and how long I was gone, however it looks like i was leaving Canada for vacations rather then the other way round. I don't want them to think I was claiming i was living in Canada then as I have put a UK address for that time period.

Also, you should give yourself some buffer of extra days as well to be on safe side(extra buffer will allow you extra days of residency which can cover your days if you have miscalculated)
If you leave Canada on 4th June and show that you were here till 5th June and applied on 5th June and if CIC investigates and finds that you really did leave on 4th June (they can ask you for your boarding passes or they can check your passport stamps in later stages of processing of application), it would be a misrepresentation.
Now its your call. In my suggestion be honest and truthful and only apply once you are eligible.

So I was technically working and living in the UK for 6 months but within that time spent about 5 weeks in Canada on vacation. If I can add that 5 weeks to the residency calculator then I can apply this month and before the new bill is implemented.

As your actual residence was in UK and you were working in UK, the same has to be mentioned in address history section as well as work/education history section. You were technically here in Canada on vacation.
This is bit complicated situation.
I am not sure if those 5 weeks can be added (even though if you add them you will get credit for 1/2 day because it was a pre-pr days)
I would suggest you to wait for someone with similar experience to shed some light on it. Else please contact a proper immigration consultant/lawyer.

I think Sam mentioned it correctly would be best if you consult a immigration lawyer on this case quiet a few usually have at least free consultation session you can use.
