Just a question, why are you withdrawing?

I was gonna say to put yours as grey together with Application Returned or another color so there's a record.

And this is a normal one not urgent application? Feb & March was fast anyway right plus it's in Vancouver but I saw that they're not as quick for oath, not sure if it's true.

It looks like I will fall under Scarbough instead of Toronto but both are slowpokes anyway so it doesn't matter :/

Folks, this is a copy paste from the march 2015 thread: wowo vancouver moves crazy fast:

Re: March 2015 Citizenship Applicants

I had my test July 9 and today my ecas changed to 'decision made'. That's faster than I thought! Hope an oath invite is coming equally quick.

Application received: March 26, 2015
AOR: April 15, 2015
Started processing: May 8, 2015
Transfer to Vancouver office: May 22, 2015 (line disappeared and never came back)
Interview: July 9, 2015
Ecas to 'Decision made': July 28, 2015
Oath: Huh

The reason for my (voluntary) withdrawal is, that I have a close connection to somebody knows what's going on regarding "Keeping German Citizenship whilst being Canadian". I have received information which tell me that there is a shitstorm of paperwork coming up and it is not guaranteed that they will let you keep your german nationality. I only recommend to my other possible fellow germans outhere who want to become a Canadian, to be VERY careful if it comes to keeping the german citizenship!
Whilst it is not impossible to do with my current conditions, its just to complex and not worth the trouble/time/money. I accept the monetary loss compared to what has to be done to keep the german nationality. That's it that's all. :) All I can say is, my permanent residency is much less complicated and gives me enough freedom, such as buying a house, car etc...and regarding the traveling it only requires my passport and the PR card. The only thing I cant do is participate at the elections which is an "acceptable sacrifice". At least here in Quebec. LoL

It's good to know the reason behind it. Thank you for sharing. I guess Germany aren't really that open with dual citizenship.

I have a question. I sent my application as family (of 4; 2 adults/2 kids). I have included my e-mail address in my application but my wife don't want to include hers in her form. I received three AoR's through e-mail.

I assumed the first one is for me and the other two are for my two kids. Should we expect one more AoR through mail?

There's a way to be sure who's AoRs you got. In the emails you'll see the UCI #, that will be the same number you'll find in your PR card, the ID No/No ID right below your name. Since you're missing one and when you find out who's check the status here using that person's Client ID Number / Unique Client Identifier aka UCI # --- https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do --- double check if he/she got AoR but just didn't receive email/mail. Hope that helps.

Please rely on official "Discover Canada" guide only in order to pass the test. Read it multiple times (at least 3-4 times properly)

You can search google for free third party online tests and use them to learn the information however, don't rely on them to pass the test. Your real source of learning/preparation of the test and passing the test would be to read Official "Discover Canada" properly multiple times.
