Hi All,

In the fee receipt what does the client ID stand for? Do we have to write it? Do we have to leave it blank? Is it specified anywhere where to find it and if we have to enter it?

Thanks,
Afser

The client ID is 8 digit numeric number printed at the front of the pr card which is in the format: xxxx-xxxx.
Are you a single applicant and paid your fees with the credit card that is on your name? If yes, you need to write the client ID on your fee receipt.

Thanks for the information. Yes i'm a single applicant and I paid the fee using my own credit card. Sorry for my ignorance, can you help me find where this requirement is mentioned?

Under the Name, your name would be printed already
Under "Client date of birth" enter your date of birth in the format dd-mm-yy
For "Client ID" mention the 8 digit number printed at the front of your pr card. Do not write PA number that is on the back of the card. It is PR card number. Client ID is always numeric with format xxxx-xxxx (8 digit) printed at front of PR card.
Under "Address" field enter your address ( I hope the billing address is same as your current residential address?)
Under "Postal Code" enter your postal code associated with the address.
Under "Area Code" mention your telephone area code
Under "Telephone No" mention your telephone number.

I also have few more queries to the members.
1. For sections 3B and 3C, I do not have any information to add so I have left them blank. Is this correct or Do I need to write '"N/A" ?
2. For section 5C, I do not have a home phone so I have let it blank. Can I leave it blank or Do I have to write "N/A"?
3. For Section 6G, I do not have children yet so can I leave it blank or do I have to write "N/A"?

Thanks in Advance.

cic.gc.ca/ english/helpcentre/answer. asp?q=013&t=4

And it is best to write N/A or Not Applicable on any portion/line/space that doesn't apply to your situation instead of just leaving it blank.

It has to be my credit card?? I think it says it's okay if someone else pays for you. My sister paid for mine & I put my client id # since it's my application.
