uh oh, there is no Canada Day Citizenship Ceremony schedule in Surrey :'(

I'm still hoping coz sometimes they add ceremonies in the middle of posted ones. Just like the June 20th, it wasn't there when I was checking before, only June 13th and 23rd. Let's not lose hope

Oath ceremony June 12th (we all were told that a judge still has to check the documents, and if anyone gets a call befor the 12th then he/she shouldn't show up for the oath)

Hi,

Just to update you guys, I just checked my ECAS now and it says:

We sent you a notice on June 5, 2014 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on July 7, 2014 at 10:30 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

Praise God! I am now relieved of waiting forever ;D

Hi daktrader, my timeline is a little bit long

Timeline: Surrey (originally as family application with husband and 1 kid)
Received application - Aug. 2011
In process - January 2012
Test - Sept. 2012 (I failed, husband passed)
Files Separated - April 2013 and husband and son took oath May 2013
Notice of Retest - Dec. 16, 2013 (missed)
Sent Letter of explanation of missing the test - Dec. 30, 2013
Followed-up with Cic - Feb. 15, 2014 ( they said, i will be scheduled for retest and wait until May 2014)
Followed-up with Cic - Apr. 17, 2014 (they said, letter was sent on Apr. 14 for May 6 exam. True enough, i got the letter when I got home from work)
Retest - May 6, 2014 (19/20 passed)
Oath Schedule - July 7, 2014 as per today's ECAS (letter not yet received)

Goodluck to everyone else waiting for test or oath. There's still light at the end of the tunnel

Hi Anne,

Yeah, seems like there's no oath on Canada Day so far, but, who knows? Let's still hope they will add one and you'll get invited. I just lost my chance

Took the test on april 29th, passed and was told that the judge has granted the decision. Still no oath.

We had our oath today in the Mississauga Office (it looks like Mississauga has 2 ceremonies every day this months).
It as a very nice and formative event for all of us.
