Hi i'm trying to figure out your timeline When did you receive SA If your file didn't get transferred till October the in process you seen may have been for the sponsor.

taffy7
The email I got for SA was dated Oct16,2014. File transfer was Oct29,2014. On ECAS, it did say "in process" but they started processing my application Jan22,2015. I don't know why either.

hi everyone :) i have good news, the embassy called us last week (they called! crazy!) and told me we're approved :o gave me 2 options. since my medical is expiring may 12th, i could land by then. OR i redo the medical and leave later.. we decided to leave in July so i'll redo the med.

what's weird though, on eCAS application went "in process" on april 10. they also called me on 10 april .. does that mean they reached a decision in a matter of a few hours? lol doesn't make any sense to me ;D

Congratulations - I was told by some fellow members not to rely on ECAS as they are not always in-accordance to what they do - but anyway its great that they actually call you to give you an option. We recently got a request for re-medical. Hoping for some good news soon .

Impresso, a remedical is usually good news ;) from what i know, you should expect passport request after they approve your 2nd medical. though for VO's with long processing times, they probably ask for a remedical as soon as the 1st expires, even though processing might still take a year for example. not your case though. our VO had an average (80% of apps) updated to 16 months so i was very discouraged.. expected a summer of silence.. however, my husband came to my country and got a job here in order to stay until i get the visa.. i informed the VO about it, pretty sure this is what got us an approval without an interview.

CEM called us on Mon(April13) requesting go to cem Thurs(April16) for visa stamping.

Finally visa on hand!!

* May 2014 applicant
Meds will expire May29, 2015
No PPR. Ecas still says "in process" Haha

Yeh I am still not sure if we should be hopeful to hear from VO soon as this is a the 2nd Medical Request or this will also take some time - Any thoughts ? It so wonderful to hear members getting their approval - Happy For You.

thanks everyone :)

Impresso, when does your current medical expire (or is it already expired) ?

We handed our first medical along with the application, done in Sep2013 which expired and was asked for re-medical on 9Apr2015

Finally, today was D day. my wife got her visa :D, just on time so we didn't have to go for re-med.
It was done on the 16, but we got it today, and ECAS status changed today too.

Thanks god, the wait is over now. :)

Congratulations!! You must be over the moon excited and so relieved this long wait is over :) I can't find the May spreadsheet anymore... Which visa office processed your application? Did it just arrive out of the blue or did you receive communication from CIC and were expecting it?

Oh and happy landing :)

It was Manila Visa Office. and no communication, nothing, Visa was granted on 16 of April, but ECAS status changed today, same day we received the passport and all the documents we submitted.... a few weeks ago i requested to update the case as my status changed from PR to citizen of Canada... this may have helped also.....

now need to organize the travel so i can go and pick up my wife :)

Hello

My husband filed our case from Mississauga.

My ECAS says:
1. Application received for permanent residence on May 2, 2014
2. Medical Results received.

I paid RPRF and did Medical on February 16, 2015.
Its been 2 months, when should i expect my PPR?
