Hey you applied in May 2014 and you got SA now?? isn't it too long for the approval?? even I got my SA kinda late than others I don't know why and what they were doing??

Good news here! I just got an AOR letter along with a request for a Mexican police certificate and an RCMP police certificate from the Mexico City VO via e-mail.

The AOR letter further states that the Mexico City VO is taking an average of 6 months to process spousal sponsorship applications (as opposed to the 16 months CIC has posted online) and that I should contact them if it's been longer than that.

No, I forgot to include my option C printout which is really sad. Then I forwarded it to them ASAP, they received it around July 11.

Hey guys question, Yes I got an email from CiC that i'm eligible for sponsorship but it doesn't show on my Ecas though. All I can see there is they received my application. Is there like a wait time on ecas' end?

hi all! can't believe it - i THINK i just got my COPR last week!

up till now i was thinking they've lost my application bc i have had NO word from CIC all summer (haven't been checking eCAS tho, as we've been in San Francisco and frankly i wanted to de-obssess a bit). all my mail was going to my sister in law so as to be sure not to miss anything, and nothing has come all summer, according to her, then BAM! she emails frantically saying hey you got your COPR you need this in your passport when you return!

needless to say i am shocked and excited... but unprepared. my hubbie is going back to Toronto in a couple weeks for business, he'll bring the papers back for me bc no-one is willing to trust them to fedex. then i have to start planning my landing...

i can't even check eCAS to be sure this is correct, bc i don't have an ID # that works on there, not having gotten an SA or AOR or anything else in the meantime that would give me a UCI. (could be I got it, but canada post did not forward properly?)

anyway, i just wanted to post my experience here, to let you know if this IS my COPR then my total processing time was quite short - early may to late august = less than 3 months!!

ok as i was adding myself to the spreadsheet i see uskyoot has beat even my processing time !
and eg, Albertan and MrsMissingThem (and others) are pretty far along too, w/ similar processing time frame...

not all are Ottawa either!

so i'm more likely to believe this IS in fact my COPR (why shouldn't it be, apparently it is titled "CPR" lol) -

all of which is great news for everyone on this thread, it seems they are processing really fast for May applicants - from all different VOs.

Mine didn't show on ecas either until a couple of days afterwords once it reached the visa office.

Congratz on your approval. I still haven't heard anything yet and sent additional document and they received it on July 4th. I'm finding this whole process extremely frustrating . hope mine comes this week.
