Yea governments are always 100% consistant and reliable. They are always earning their well deserved tax payers dollars and immigration fees. ;D

When I got my SA, they said in the email I had missed my upfront medical, and were forwarding my application to Ottawa for the next step of processing. I was to inform Ottawa of the medical once it was complete. We had then done it, and sent it within the week. Do you think this will cause delays and start the clock over like some of you have to do? :o

there's no "starting the clock over" at this point. once your file is sent, it is sent. how quickly it's processed depends on the visa office, which is very quick for ottawa right now. your application "received" date will not change because of requests from the visa office. whether the visa office delays the processing depends on how quickly they open your file and accept the missing info.

I'm now waiting for the Etobicoke CIC office to call me to make an appointment for "landing" since I am already residing in Canada (on a temp visitor visa). The immigration officer I spoke to on the phone said it usually takes them around two weeks to call.

I'm certainly not complaining! I'm just itching to start sending out resumes and get a job!

are you not close enough to the us border to "flagpole"? it would be substantially easier AND quicker to do that. from what i've read, while it may only take 2 weeks to schedule the interview, they are usually not scheduled right away and it's likely to be waiting months to land.

yey my ecas updated just today In Process but they started processing on August 18 ;D

yep, if you did not have an interview, then expect the COPR in the mail! it took 5 days for it to reach me in CT. It will be a brown letter sized envelope. Congrats! third may applicant to get approved! make sure to share this in the ottawa thread so it can be tracked on the spreadsheet!!!

What is the link for the Ottawa thread? I am really encouraged by the stories of "lightning" process times. My clock started Friday

Congrats! seems like Manila VO is working fast as well. Hopefully I hear from Abu Dhabi VO.

Yesterday I checked my status online and the Decision on my case has been taken! soooooo happy!

My application has been super fast

Category........: FAM
Visa Office......: should have been Paris but with the new process my application was processed in Missisauga
App. Filed.......: May 28, 2014
AOR Received.: August 1, 2014
File Transfer...: was never transferred as my was one of the first application to be processed entirely in Mississauga
Med's Done....: sometime in January
Started working on Aug 20, 2014 and approved on the 22
Interview........: waived
VISA ISSUED...: waiting for the documents in the mail

So my application took less than 3 month! Granted, I sent originally my application in February but it was lost by the CIC so we "lost" 3 month but my faith in the government has been slightly restored!

So for all the people being processed in Missisauga they are actually really fast :D

congratz!!!!

My husband is getting ready to land on Saturday. We are preparing the "goods to follow" list and I have what might seem a silly question. The forms asks for his address. Should this be where we are living now (in the U.S.) or the address we will be living at in Canada

My brain is fried from this process

Thanks

Really?

:(

Maybe I'll plan a weekend to Niagara Falls and flagpole it. I'll wait for them to call and see how soon they can make an appointment.

I sent my applicat :( :-\ion in on May 9th. Just recently received my application back in the mail telling me I was missing a form. I was not missing a form at all. The form they were asking me for is an inland form. :-X made me so mad I almost wanted to divorce my husband and say I don't want to come to canada :) I am here as a visitor for now and am so sick of not being able to work. I applied as an outland applicant, im from the USA and i wanted to make sure that if i crossed the border and ran into any problems that it wouldn't mess up my application. I have adult children in the usa and grandchildren and wanted to make sure if i had to cross the border i could do it . So here i go to the back of the line again. I sent them a letter telling them that the form they were asking for was not even part of my application kit, and was not on the checklist. will this ever end

You're sure you sent it to the right office? You should have sent it to CPC Mississauga. If you sent it somewhere else, they probably assumed that you were trying to file an Inland application.

The opposite happened to me the first time I sent in my application. I was applying Inland and sent it to Mississauga, so they sent it back a few months later with an Outland checklist.
